Positive: Beautifully appointed and spotless. Amazing touches done with thought to make a complete stop from a stressful time. A lovely welcome from Lionel and professionalism but also allowing absolute privacy within their lovely home. Huge TV allowing us to enjoy Season 3 of the Diplomat a bonus. His breakfast worthy of a 5 star restaurant. Many thanks for a relaxing start to our 44th wedding anniversary getaway. I would love to return and do some actual writing in the "Retreat" on another visit.

Positive: Very cosy comfortable cottage with super comfy bed and all provisions taken care of. The continental breakfast provided was plentiful and included homemade jams bread, museli and freshly squeezed oranges from their historical orange trees. The Cottage is situated amongst an expansive lawn and garden setting making for a very tranquil stay. Lionel and Rob are wonderful hosts, so helpful, welcoming and very informative.

Negative: Principal attraction for us was a heated pool which was not working. Heated towel rail & heat pump had intermittent on/off periods explained as being on a timer or we had set the heating incorrectly although we have this exact same model at home. 2 successive TV remote handsets offered had exhausted batteries , - supply new batteries! No opening window or extract fan in en suite facility.

Summary: we were determined to enjoy our stay despite what seemed like a lack of pre-season maintenance

Positive: The welcoming was friendly and special. Lionel welcomed us with a lovely sign and welcome drinks. The facilities are incredible. You don’t need anything at all because it’s all supplied. My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. The pool is lovely. The bed is extremely comfortable. We loved the little treats that we got every day when we came back from our time out exploring. The breakfast is amazing as well. A very special place and great for time out and to relax. Thank you Lionel and Rob for being amazing hosts. We loved our stay!!! And would highly highly recommend.
