Summary: We had a lovely stay in Cinque Terre using the apartment in Monterosso as our base.The apartment was very central, which was super. However, the flat itself was a tired in terms of decor and there didn’t ever seem to be enough hot water for two showers!The most challenging aspect of the position of the apartment was that it was right beside the railway line with trains travelling at all times of the day and night. The freight trains in particular were extremely loud! I am a good sleeper so I was fine but my husband had very disrupted sleep the whole time we were there. The owner is obviously not responsible for this but it is worth making this very clear to any prospective visitors. Finally, communication was a little bit slow at times with a couple of phone calls from us not being picked up at all. (Maybe it is a particularly busy time for the agents.)None of these observations listed stopped us from having a lovely time in Monterosso but just want to be honest. I have never made such negative comments before on Vrbo and don’t like doing so!
