Positive: Exciting experience to guest in a real ancient fortress. Apartment is very beautiful and cozy. Kitchen is fully equipped. Place is very quite at nights. Highly recommend a small walk around the castle. It was a pleasure to stay there, we felt like guests, not renters.

Negative: Small tip: If you drink tee might be good to buy bottled water because tap water has a lot of minerals in it. Maybe should just drink coffee:) Also might be convenient to provide some smaller pillows for a choice.

Positive: Matteo did an amazing job of making us feel at home. We arrived late, the keys were waiting for us in the lockbox. If you are driving into Monterrigione, take the gate you first see on your left when driving up the hill. Don't do what we did and drive around the town in dirt roads to take the back entrance google maps takes you to! Matteo then met us after breakfast and gave us some great tips on what to see around the area.

Positive: If you want to try out living inside a castle wall area, this is the place. Nicely furnished rooms in medieval style, wake up to birds chirping and explore the beautiful tiny village before the groups of tourists arrive. Communication with the passionate host Matteo was fast and uncomoplicated. If you want to chill, play with stray cats outside or play various board games prepared in the apartment.

Negative: Sometimes the hot water for shower took long to come out.
