Positive: Family atmosphere, great Hot Tub, decen food and included in price. area is beautiful and people are easy going. Its because the lodge is run like a family business and not a hotel.

Positive: Good location for sequoia.

Negative: Check in staff were a bit rude. Only 2 out of the 4 beds had been made. Toilet hadn’t been cleaned. Towels were hung behind the bathroom door and we couldn’t be sure they were clean or left by the previous guests. Very noisy I think our room was above a bowling alley by the sounds coming from below. Food was ok for a kids camp.

Summary: Good location, more of a kids camp and not a hotel or guest house.

Positive: The staff was phenomenal. The facilities were clean. The bed was comfortable. Good selections for food at meals. Availability of to-go options for lunch.

Negative: The resort did what they had to do to keep it all going, but the detour road sucks and the signage at the main (now closed) could be improved and made more obvious.
