Positive: The location was stunning and the bay/ cove was beautiful. Very secure and safe. The breakfast was brilliant as you had the choice of both buffet (great food) and the a la carte menu (also great food). Good selection of restaurants and bars around the hotel.

Negative: We did not like the fact that dogs were allowed in the restaurant and one was even allowed to sit on the chairs and eat from a plate that other guests would eat on. This was pretty poor and staff did and said nothing to the client about this. The room we were in, which was a one bedroom suite had aircon and when you close the doors between the sofa area (where our daughter slept) and the bedroom, the aircon did nothing in the bedroom side and was too hot in the room. There were continual issues with Hyde guests using the Mondrian pool and some days being told they could not and other days nothing was said. Then another day people were using large inflatables in the pool with no issue and then other days they were told they could not use them and to read the pool rules. So there were a lot of inconsistencies.

Positive: Lovely hotel in Cala Llonga so great beach and 4 pools to swim in. Excellent breakfast (with lovely staff). It is much quieter at breakfast than at the sister hotel Hyde next door. Great choice of restaurants nearby (we loved Nami) and shops to get milk and water etc. Lovely well appointed rooms and bathrooms with balconies. We would definitely go back.

Negative: The pool area could be cleaner, we noticed there was rubbish down the back of some of the sunloungers. Also there is not enough sunloungers around the Mondrian pool. The hotel's Japanese restaurant advertises a children's menu on the website that doesn't exist which was very annoying as we had to take the younger children out for pizza after dinner as they did not like the sushi.

Positive: The lobby area was very nice and stylish. The guest services and reception staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

Negative: Our room smelt of damp/mould, the sun loungers were dirty/mouldy, the toilets for the pool were filthy. The pool staff were rude and unhelpful- on our last day they told us they had run out of towels and that if we wanted towels we would need to go and get them ourselves from our room.

Summary: This is a beautiful property but it does not provide a 5* experience
