Positive: Fantastic Villa with big bedrooms and a great pool we used several times a day even though beach was only a short walk away. Staff at the villa is very friendly and welcoming, and meals that can conveniently be preordered were delicious. We loved waking up and sitting by the pool enjoying tasty local and western breakfast dishes.
Negative: Place was perfect for our family of 4 children and 2 adults, but if you are after for more lively vibes closer to Unawatuna might be a good choice.

Positive: Everything was perfect from start to finish. The villa is beautiful, the rooms are immaculate and incredibly comfortable, and the atmosphere is calm and welcoming throughout. Nuwan and his team were outstanding — warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, making the stay feel effortless and special. Every detail was thoughtfully handled, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. A flawless experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to return and recommend this hotel wholeheartedly.

Positive: Meegamo and Kavindu were both incredible! They hosted us so well, nothing too much trouble. Kavindu’s cooking was the highlight of our trip. Not to mention, we he house is spectacular and kept to and incredible standard.
Negative: All great, apart from sometimes the electric cut out.

Positive: We really enjoyed our stay at Monara house and felt at home from the first moment on, thanks to the kind and welcoming staff and the serene surroundings. Our highlights were the marvelous pool, the interior design, super comfortable beds and the food prepared by the in-house chef.

Positive: Myself and 8 others spent 5 nights at Monara House and we had the best time! Meegama and Kavindu were absolutely amazing and made sure we had everything we needed at all times. The villa was beautiful and very spacious.
