Positive: Onsen and the beds are great. Breakfast in the morning is pretty decent too. Only western style so just be expecting that. Rooms are nicely done as well. The dinners at night are a definite to try at least once as well. We also enjoyed the fact the staff were more than willing to drop us off for dinner when going out and pick us up later that night.
Negative: Bathroom in rooms are pretty tight just use the Onsen and toilets around the lodge. Make sure your rental car has decent winter tyres that driveway is not a joke when it snows decently.

Positive: Loved the onsen each day to relax the muscles after a day on the slopes. Generous sized bedroom. We had an amazing time and enjoyed the cheap ski passes purchased at the accom each day, saving time in the morning.
Negative: Very firm beds in more traditional Japanese style.
