Positive: Every detail at Molino do Cogno shows the affection, dedication, and care with which Carlo and Margarita built this beautiful place. Everything we needed was at our disposal, and Carlo even shared the history of the place in a very enthusiastic way, showing that it's a place made with affection. Having a vacation filled with affection is a completely different experience. We truly wish we could return and stay longer. The tips on places and restaurants to visit were also excellent.

What awaits everyone who comes to this fantastic house goes far beyond the usual stay in a rental apartment. This place breathes love. Everything is wonderful. The vast, picturesque natural surroundings around the house—with its forest, river, varied terrain, and breathtaking views—are stunning. The house itself is old and beautiful, with an incredibly stylish interior design in the rooms, where every detail has been thoughtfully considered. We were delighted by every single detail. Margherita’s impeccable taste and soul, which brought it all to life, are felt everywhere. And Carlo’s eyes light up when he talks about the centuries-old history of the old mill and the miller’s house! With what passion he gathers all the information from archives, libraries, and museums! From the very first moments at Molino di Cogno, you don’t just feel like a guest—you feel like a cherished and close family friend. Margherita and Carlo are ready to help, assist, and offer valuable advice. Our rating is 11 out of 10! Margherita and Carlo have created a territory of love. Positive: The property is simply stunning. The area surrounding, the restoration of the building itself, the interior design and Carlo and Margherita’s passion for the Mill is amazing. It is beautifully furnished with original furniture that has been restored to a very high standard, the quality of fixtures and fittings in the apartments makes everything such a pleasure to use, and the interior design feels very original and truthful to the building but with all the modern luxuries of AC etc, it was incredibly clean and we felt at home immediately. The hosts Carlo and Margherita are brilliant, nothing is too much and they make you feel very very welcome and can recommend some excellent places to eat locally! This is a phenomenal place to explore the Chianti region and further into Tuscany. The pictures really don’t do it justice, we cannot wait to go back!

Positive: We loved everything about this beautiful place. It is an old (11th century) mill restored to perfection. The bedrooms were very comfortable, great kitchen equiped with everything we needed, and modern bathrooms. The place is beautifully decorated inside and outside. We stayed for 4 days including Easter and it was hard to leave. The hosts Carlo and Margherita were amazing!!!! They became our friends!!!

Summary: It is like stepping back in time but in luxury. We highly recommend this place!

Positive: You must try this! We have just returned from a delightful 12 day holiday in Tuscany, at this truly exceptional location. Our goal was to relax in the Tuscan countryside, and the Molino Di Cogno was the perfect venue for our "down-time" retreat. This mill is newly renovated and extraordinarily well-appointed while still retaining the structure and charm of the old mill originating from the 1100s. Nestled deep in the idyllic Tuscan countryside, it offers a serene and luxurious sensory experience. This place is enchanting. The soothing and tranquil setting bathed in the rich scent of the Tuscan forest, herbs, and late October flora, the gentle gurgle of the mill stream, and owls calling to each other at night combine to create a magical elixir that only Tuscany can offer. We stayed in the one-bedroom apartment, cooked much of our own food and luxuriated in the generous shower which, through an open window, overlooked the mill stream and the valley. Everything was new and fresh. Linens were crisp and luxurious. Our hosts decorated the rooms with authentic furniture and artifacts from the mill. While nodding to the past, the decor was also modern and well appointed. Close to Florence, Siena and Panzano (Dario Cecchini's butcher shop and restaurant) the location is an ideal "home base" for further exploration. Just up the road there is a restaurant that serves food we still dream about. Carlo and Margarita were the consummate hosts, always friendly and available, offering suggestions, and even guided walks on the surrounding property. We arrived as customers, and left as friends. We will most certainly be back.
