Positive: The lodge is a much needed facility targeting the needs of western tourists. The building itself is a tastefully renovated ancient house on the outskirts of a mountain village. There is an internal restaurant providing home-style Chinese cuisine + roast chicken and pizza. There's plenty of activities to do and the staff is extremely helpful and nice.

Negative: This is rural China, so expect the unexpected: black outs, closed roads, dry streams are common, and out of the control of the hotel. A certain amount of adaptability is necessary.

Positive: Very unique and definitely a very pleasant change to the standard hotel chains. Rooms were very clean including toiletries from l’Occitane and food very delicious ranging from traditional Chinese to western dishes. Pool came in very handy for the kids and staff couldn't have been more caring. Overall a very nice break from the big city hustle and bustle.

Positive: Amazing from start to finish. Staff so helpful with arranging a taxi to another local village and informing us of available activities like bikes, paddle boarding, yoga classes. Room was spotlessly clean with beautiful l’occitaine shower gel & shampoo!
