Summary: The host Sam was incredibly responsive and helpful with even the smallest questions. Door and garage access codes were relayed in a timely manner so we were able to get into the property as soon as we arrived. The pictures of the listing are very accurate. Place was clean and just as advertised. Everything was in working order. Newly remodeled. Property is close to I-80 but in a relatively quiet spot and we were not bothered by highway noise at the house. Very convenient and quick access to Truckee - can easily bike there. House has lots of games for adults and kids and children's toys and books. We stayed with 3 kids under age 12 and 3 adults and had more than enough sleeping options. Would def recommend renting!

Summary: This place is amazing! We stayed here with two other families with kids ranging from 4 to 13. There were toys, games, and plenty of activities in the house. They all had a blast sleeping in the downstairs room and allowed the adults to enjoy the evenings free of worry. The fire pit was a hit. The kitchen has everything you could ask for and the grill worked perfectly. We loved the proximity to Donner Lake and downtown Truckee. While there is no AC and can get a little stuffy at night in the upstairs bedrooms, the property owners did their best to provide fans and air purifiers and that wouldn’t prevent us from staying again. The garage was packed with great beach chairs, life jackets and made it easy to leave some things at home. If you’re looking for a classy, clean, and high quality rental, I doubt you’ll find much better. We’d absolutely stay here again. Sam, the owner, was easy to get a hold of and always had the answers to our questions with a kind and helpful attitude. Thanks, Sam!!! We all agreed this was one of the best vacations we’ve had.

Summary: We had an amazing time while staying at this beautiful and modern truckee retreat! Sam was an excellent host. He was super helpful and responsive. The house was fully stocked with plenty of extra linens/towels, beach towels/chairs/umbrella and baby gate/toys/pack and play, which made our stay that much more enjoyable and easy! Very close to Donner lake only a 7-10min drive to public beach access. Sam and his wife have thought of every little detail and you can see how much they love this home:) The kitchen is beautifully remodeled and equipped with everything you could want from high end appliances, cookware, utensils, spices and even baby-ware! The living room was cozy and nicely decorated with easy to navigate electronics. Outdoor sitting area with fire pit was perfect for late night ‘s’mores and relaxing! The bedrooms were all spacious and beds were super comfy! We had three families and three small children and there was plenty of room for us all to enjoy our weekend getaway! We will for sure be back to this hidden little gem :)

Summary: Two families of 4 - house was just perfect - very clean and updated and top of the line features and amenities. Everything worked perfectly and easily and Sam was so awesome to work with. Very accommodating and helpful and easy to work with - couldn’t have asked for a better host! Bedroooms were great - downstairs has a bedroom with two queen beds and own bathroom that we put the kids in - worked nicely. Kitchen stocked with all nice, modern cookware, serving ware and appliances. Location is good for access to Donner Lake - just a 5-7min drive. Very much enjoyed our 4th of July holiday! Would stay here again.
