Summary: Stunning house and garden and perfect place for a break on our road trip of Andalusia. We were two couples and we loved coming “home” after a day out, barbecued every evening and enjoyed the serenity.

Summary: My family had a wonderful time at this villa in Ronda. The home is well cared for and the layout is perfectly suited for families with multiple children. My kids loved the beautiful pool, and the surrounding area is breathtaking. Getting into Ronda was a quick 10-15 minute drive. We loved our stay here and would go back in a heart beat!!

Summary: We’ve just had a wonderful week at El Olivar! Hilde was very welcoming and informative upon arrival. The villa has the most amazing views, it had everything we needed and more! The kids absolutely loved been in the pool everyday. Lots of beautiful places, towns and lakes to explore, all within a short driving distance. Would highly recommend and we would love to come back and stay one day!

Summary: Well designed and managed home, it’s clear the owners have great taste and appreciate quality, from the kitchen appliances to the bedding, everything was comfortable and high end. The setting is truly amazing - quiet, beautiful, very pleasant in every way. The pool was a huge plus for our family and we enjoyed many hours outside around the pool or on one of the several beautiful patios. It made venturing into town harder because the home was so lovely.

Summary: We had delayed our holiday at El Olivar from June to actually start in September 2020 hoping that COVID-19 might be a distant memory by then and Lucy was very accommodating in allowing us to do so. That obviously didn't work out quite as planned but it really shouldn't put you off staying here either. Going during a pandemic might be the best decision you make; I think it was ours! The villa was beautifully prepared for our arrival and is set in the countryside with little or no contact with anyone locally. The check-in process is very easy and again Lucy and Hilde couldn't have helped more, adjusting things to our amended flight details and arrival time. The villa itself was clean, spacious, very comfortable and had everything we could want. Rustic charm with all the mod cons and interesting original artwork dotted around. The pool was divine and the three terraces meant we could take advantage of the beautiful views, glorious weather and magnificent sunsets. There were also outdoor blankets to keep the evening chill off and yoga mats for the yogis in our group too. So if you don't want to leave the villa then there's no real need to do so as it has everything you need for a safe and enjoyable stay. However, never leaving the villa is to miss a trick or two. The delights of Ronda are around a 10 minute drive away and what surprised all in our party was how safe we felt walking around the sights. Everyone, young and old, wear masks all the time and one of the only benefits of being in a pandemic was, we seemed to have seen the town at its best i.e. tourist free! What a fantastic holiday and one that will stay long in the memory for all the right reasons. Trust me, book it now, you won't be disappointed.

Summary: Perfect retreat to relax and enjoy the Andalucian region. The house is perfection. There is plenty of space and all details have been thought through with consideration. We were there in January so were able to make use of the log burning fire. Owners are responsive and attentive without being intrusive. Bedrooms are all incredibly well equipped with gorgeous crisp bedding, hotel-style towels and robes. When we arrived a basket of provisions had been provided which was warmly welcomed. The grounds of the house are beautiful and peaceful, there are local farms which provide the morning soundtrack and Ronda is only a short drive. The handbook provided is the most complete guide I have ever seen, any question can be answered in that book including some wonderful recommendations. If we are ever back in the region (and the house is available) we would not think twice about booking. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Summary: This place is a beautiful place, inside and out! You are close to a good size city, Ronda, but you feel you are in your own little world, removed from the everyday congestion of people. You will be sad to leave, and will look forward to your next visit!

Summary: The most beautiful place to feel like home away from home. Everything in, and outside the house is perfect! It is also a wonderful spot to spend time with kids, there were lot of toys and the nature surroundings the property was exciting to visit for the toddlers (donkey, chicken, horses, etc.) Lucy, and Jon were easy to reach and Hilde was very nice to us. There is also a book in the house with recommendations which were very helpful to our family. We hope to be back again one day. Thank you !!
