Our 4-bedroom, 3-bath home offers plenty of space for gatherings of family and friends. With two bedrooms on the main level and two additional bedrooms in the spacious walk-out basement, the house sleeps up to 8 people. Fresh, modern decor, new furnishings (including Tuft & Needle mattresses), and a fully stocked kitchen are just a few of the amenities you will enjoy. The master bedroom overlooks the lake and features a king-sized bed, luxurious bedding, a flat-screen television, and a private bathroom with walk-in shower and a freestanding tub. Bedrooms 2 & 3 feature queen-sized beds and shared bathrooms, while lakeside bedroom 4 is home to two twin-sized beds. All bedrooms are designed with maximum comfort in mind and feature 400-thread-count sheets, down comforters and linen or organic duvets.
The vaulted main living area centers around a wood-burning fireplace and is a perfect spot to get cozy with a book, cup of tea or loved one. Dawn and dusk are best enjoyed from the covered back deck, which overlooks the lake and is home to a gas grill for outdoor feasts. An open kitchen with huge island offers additional seating for dining and is an inviting space in which to cook, gather and relax. The spacious dining room is perfect for family style suppers and breakfasts and offers plenty of space to spread out and work - if you must - while you are here. The basement family room is where the indoor entertainment reigns... A large screen TV, ping pong table and spacious sectional sofa beckon leisure time after a day on the lake or exploring North Georgia; pull out a board game, borrow a book -- or sign in & enjoy your Netflix account - for a cozy evening in. Cable TV and WiFi are available throughout the home. Wake up to coffee on the back deck, and spend your days swimming, boating, kayaking, or fishing on the lake. Bring your marshmallows and enjoy cool evenings by the outdoor fire pit overlooking the lake!
Our home is located within minutes of Hiawassee, so groceries and gas are always close by. The small established neighborhood is quiet, and most of our neighbors are part-time residents, so if you are looking for peace and quiet, you have found it. Have a boat? Tie up to our private boat dock! No boat? Enjoy one of our kayaks or the Bellyak or just throw a line in the water from the swim deck. Boat rentals are available nearby for the day and half-day - we encourage you to rent one and explore all the nooks and crannies of beautiful Lake Chatuge.
Miscellaneous details: Parking is provided for two to three cars. The home is fully heated and air-conditioned, and linens and towels are provided. Summary: Very spacious house, well laid out and very comfortable. We made several meals in the well equipped kitchen which was great, even had a large dining room table to enjoy. Ping-pong table in the basement was a big hit! Weather was also good enough to still enjoy the lake, (paddle boarding and kayaking) and even though the lake level is down for the winter, you could still easily access it from the end of the dock.

Summary: This was a great location, peaceful and quiet. The house was lovely, with more than enough for the four of us. The host was very responsive and helpful about informing us of various locations and activities that would interest us. The house was located by a large lake, which had great fishing.

Summary: We called it Lake Escape 2024, but we also could call it Fantastic! This rental provided everything we needed for grandparents, kids and toddler grandkids. We’ve stayed in a lot of vacation rentals, but never one so thoughtfully and thoroughly stocked—dish liquid, laundry supplies, all linens including lake towels, hand soaps, toilet tissue, paper towels, etc.—and not just sample or starter sizes! Although we brought kayaks and lake toys/floats from home, the house offers that too! Roomy, tastefully decorated spaces inside gave us areas to be together, but also areas to chill out and nap. We made good use of the fire pit and daily use of the dock. We all had such a good time. One of the grandsons said it best—“We come back here soon?”

Summary: Beautiful, comfortable home to spend a few days with our college-age kids on their fall break. It was a bit chilly out, so we didn’t really take advantage of the lake unfortunately. The house was very clean and all the beds were super comfy! We will definitely consider staying here again if we find ourselves in the area.

Summary: This is the second time we are here and just love the house and location. House has great amenities with lots of space for everyone to sleep and enjoy their stay. This home has a boat dock so we were able to rent a boat at Boundary Waters Marina and were able to bring the boat to the house. Quiet cove to hang out on the dock. We would rent here again!!

Summary: We are a group of 7 retired ladies from Florida looking for an escape from the Florida’s summer heat. This beautiful home was the perfect base for our hikes, wine tastings, lake activities, board games, etc. Everyone in the group loved the house and its beautiful decor. We enjoyed the easy access to the lake via the home’s private dock. The dock also made a fun spot for the group’s morning Pilates workout.

Summary: Our family can usually find something to complain about at any of the lake houses we stay at, but we are at a loss this time! This house was perfect for us! We had concerns about the dock being across the road, but we rarely saw a vehicle on it and it was a quick walk from the house. Even though there's no TV in the main living area, there is a speaker you can connect to to play your favorite playlists and we spent mornings singing along to songs while cooking breakfast and our evenings playing games. There is a tv downstairs with a big couch so you can still have family movie night. The dock is in a nice cove so you can swim and kayak right next to it, but also close to open lake for boating and tubing. All in all, this was one of our best vacating yet!

Summary: This house and property were exactly as promised! Everything was so beautiful and well kept. We absolutely loved the back patio area and also the fire pit we used most nights. The dock was perfect for the boat we rented and Lake Chatuge is stunning! We will definitely be back to this wonderful modern cottage!

Summary: The house was perfect - open, airy, clean, well-stocked, beautifully decorated, comfortable. Such easy access to the lake. My son said that he "wants to leave there"! Just be careful to not lock yourselves out on the upstairs balcony/deck!
