Sea of Glass is an architecturally stunning beachfront home on the North Shore of Oahu. The A-frame design is accentuated by windows that face Mount Ka’ala, the tallest mountain peak on the island to the south, and wall-to-wall sliding doors along the entire north-facing oceanfront with 70 feet of sandy beach. This gated property on a cul de sac street offers privacy and security with passcode protected locks and a Ring security system.
The main floor of the house is situated on an elevated platform, enhancing infinite ocean views from every window. As you ascend the front steps and open the double front doors, you are greeted with wall-to-wall ocean views through the sliding doors and clerestory windows along the back of the great room. The great room has an open floor plan consisting of the kitchen, dining area and two living room seating areas and a 55 foot covered deck. The chef’s kitchen includes Wolf/Sub Zero appliances, a breakfast bar and a 10 foot waterfall island with seating for 4. The dining table sits 10. The living room is divided into two sections: a sectional sofa and seating for watching TV and across from this another couch and chairs for conversation or games. Outside on the deck is an outdoor living room with lounge chairs.
There are four bedrooms in each corner on the main level, each with its own bathroom, plus a small loft with a full size mattress. The Sky Guest Suite has views of the mountain and a queen size bed and attached bathroom. The second bedroom is the Ocean Primary Suite with a king size poster bed, soaking tub, two person shower, double vanity and water closet. This room faces the ocean with wall-to-wall sliding doors and a covered lanai. The third guest room is the Aqua Primary Suite with a king size poster bed, large shower, and separate his/her sinks. This room also faces the ocean with wall-to-wall sliding doors and covered lanai. The fourth bedroom is the Marine Guest Bedroom which faces the mountains and has two twin beds with a whimsical nautical theme. Above this room and accessed by ladder in the hall is the sleeping loft. The fourth bathroom for the Marine Guest Suite is accessible through the hallway as well.
There is an open air living room/bar area downstairs. This area leads out to the lower deck and grassy yard with plenty of seating options to sit back, relax and enjoy the view. The lower level also includes a laundry room and storage for the bikes, boards, snorkeling, and kayak, available for our guests.

Summary: When I searched for a home to have a family vacation, my most important criteria was to hear the ocean from the bedroom. This amazing property exceeded our expectations! The house had everything you could possibly need. The proximity to so many snorkeling spots (20 minutes) was amazing. Morning snorkeling was how we started most of our days. Relaxing in the afternoons on the deck with the ocean breeze and watching the sunset are memories we will all cherish forever. I expected this would be a once in a lifetime trip and every minute we spent at this property was worth it!

Summary: Great location near Northshore. House was very nice and had everything we needed. Pictures are not representative of the wear on the home. Furniture needs to be replaced.Plants inside and in open air areas were dead and falling over. It did not affect our stay because we aren’t too picky but homes we have rented in the past in this price range were nicer. We would stay there again and the positive outweighed the negatives but attention to details on house maintenance is needed.

Summary: This property was perfect for our family vacation. We had 4 generations(6 adults and 1 two year old) together. The layout of the house is great with 4 bedrooms in each corner and the great room in the center. The location is also great for surfers. Our guys went surfing everyday.

Summary: The house was exactly as listed, clean and had amazing views of the ocean right when you walk in! The beach in the backyard was perfect to go in everyday and would definitely recommend this house to anyone trying to stay on the North Shore!

Summary: Our family of 8 had an amazing week staying here. The house was beautiful, the main room was truly a great room to gather with glass doors that opened fully to the terrace and the views of the ocean never got old. Spending hours on the terrace was easy. Home is well appointed with everything we needed for the week. All new appliances and lots of space to be together or spread out. Access to the beach/ocean are steps away with tons of water toys for use along with bikes to make the short trip into town. The local town of Haleiwa had a great laid back surf town vibe with plenty of places to eat, a great local beach and easy access to shops. We've rented a lot of homes, this certainly ranks amongst the top we've stayed at.

Summary: We could not have asked for a better house or location. It was everything we wanted and more. The location is perfect - far enough away from all of the busy areas on the island, but close enough to everything. The house was everything as advertised and called out in the reviews. The views of the ocean are just dreamy but don’t let the views of the mountains from the back of the house go unnoticed. It’s just gorgeous everywhere you look. I could go on and on about how much we enjoyed staying at Sea Glass…just pack your Hawaiian slippers and sunscreen and go!
