Positive: The location was great. its a 2 storey apartment with the bedrooms at ground level and living up the stairs- so its spacious.

Negative: The key had to be collected from a lock box 2 blocks away, hanging on a bike rack! There were no keys to open the windows and despite many messages, the hosts were unable/ unwilling to find keys to open them. The main bedroom opened directly onto a publlc pathway so for privacy, you needed the blinds all the way down. The fittings ( bathroom/ kitchen) are falling off! And the walls are really thin. But upstairs, the living area is nice and the door to balcony can be opened. No microwave. A nespresso coffee machine but no pods.

Positive: Good location, clean, tidy, very quiet, 2 bedrooms unusual for the price (ie good value).

Negative: a) Air con heating didn’t work (and it was 13deg during the day). b) Only one set of keys - highly inconvenient for 2 travellers. 2 sets requested on booking - we were told only 1 available, AFTER our arrival and discovery there was only 1 set. c) No garage fob - we didn’t have a car, but the apt. Is advertised as having parking, and the absence of garage access not advised until final message 24hrs pre check-in, so would have been very annoying if we had a car. d). 2 sachets of single use washing up detergent provided (rather than a bottle) which was quite inadequate for 3 days in an apt. wth a kitchen (and wasteful of packaging). e) no hot water in kitchen sink - turns out the plumbing tap under the sink was switched off!

Summary: Good value for clean well-positioned 2br apt but management could do better!

Positive: Amazing location; great kitchen; lovely balcony; prompt communication from owner. Overall, great value for money, especially given the location, the full kitchen, and the 2nd bedroom!

Negative: Key location is inconvenient. Fittings (door handles, taps, etc.) are in need of repair. Leave an extra 30min for checkout to give yourself time to access the bins (take the key with you!) and drop the key back to the lockbox. The gate to the door of the apartment makes navigating the door a tight squeeze. Lack of a microwave was surprising, but not a deal breaker by any stretch :) Note: this apartment is not wheelchair accessible. Didn't affect us but it'd be good to make that very explicit in the listing.
