Come and enjoy a wonderfully relaxing and quiet stay at our little lakeside oasis. Our guest house is situated on a smaller, non-motorized lake, about 15 minutes North of Wasilla. We have 35 acres of land and enjoy the lake with only two other households, a rarity this close to town!
The guest house is fully equipped for your long or short term stay, just bring your luggage. The guest house features blue mountain pine T&G vaulted ceilings, fully equipped kitchen; second floor deck with gas grill; bedroom has a comfy king sized bed, walk-in closet; full size bathroom and washer & dryer. We also have a queen sized air mattress should you need extra sleeping arrangements.
We have a fire pit down by the lake to enjoy a relaxing evening; a canoe, kayak and paddle boat are available to use as well.
Closest grocery & liquor store is 5 miles down the road.
We have coolers available for use should you try your luck at fishing.

Summary: We didn't use the room much due to the fact we were in town visiting family. I was very disappointed we didn't take advantage of the kayaks etc. It really was a lovely place to rest and play if that is what you come for. The kitchen was adequately stocked. The owner happened to be there when we checked in and made a point to introduce himself and to let us know if we need anything to make sure and reach out .

Summary: The "Carriage House" was great. The on-site owners were very nice and responsive. The place had all we needed and plenty of space. The location was super peaceful and quiet if that is what you need, you'll be certain to get it here. There are two things to be aware of though: the lake has no fish and the last one mile of road is a REALLY bumpy dirt road. If these are not an issue, you should definitely try this place!

Summary: This place is exactly as described. You are literally in your own little paradise on the lake but within a short drive to town. The bed is the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in! 10:10 recommend

Summary: Great peaceful slice of Alaska for you to enjoy! Beautiful lake, pier and small boats for your pleasure. The outdoor firepit by the lake was priceless, as most places do not offer such. It made it so much more relaxing! Host were super nice and very accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

Summary: This place is AWESOME! The host, Jay, went above and beyond with this place... it's beautiful, quiet and secluded and covered all of our needs. He even left fresh salmon for us to try. If you're looking for a quiet get-a-way this is the place for you. Jay was excellent about responding when I reached out to him and gaining entry was seamless. The location is ideal if you're wanting to hit some trails, visit Independence Mine up Hatcher Pass, or even a trip up to Denali is just three hours away...not bad at all. We were very pleased with our accomodations and it is aesthetically pleasing.

Summary: Great place! Spacious and clean! Jay and Kate thought of everything, including cream for our coffee. Jay gave us some salmon that he caught and it was the best salmon that we have ever grilled. Wish we could have stayed longer!
