Positive: The resort atmosphere, golf, spa, pool, hot tub options are all great. Restaurants were also good.

Negative: It was very irritating that we could not get any fresh air. We were in San Diego 4th floor & while the view of the course was great we did not have any access to fresh air. There was no fan in the bathroom either & the room felt very stuffy and closed in even with the AC on. The bathroom floor felt sticky even after housekeeping was in, perhaps a different type of cleaning solution should be considered.

Positive: I grew up in the area and used to work at Mission Inn in my very early 20s. I never imagined that I would be able to stay at such a beautiful place. I loved working there then and I love visiting it now. The grounds are beautiful as always the room was clean and comfortable. The only downside was when I checked in there were three people at the front desk and not one of them smiled and said hello. They all seemed stressed out and acted like I wasn’t even standing there. It wasn’t until I told them I used to work there that they sort of warmed up to me a friendly smile, a welcoming attitude, and a nice disposition when you walk into a place especially from the reception staffmakes a huge difference in how you feel about the place. Everywhere else all the staff were great, although some of the younger waiters were quite timid, which I understand. also the food selection could’ve been better. I don’t eat sandwiches or bread so a place that only offers you sandwiches or chicken wings or basic stuff doesn’t appeal to me like the Margarita lounge and the clubhouse. The breakfast buffet in the restaurant I used to work in La Hacienda was excellent glasses of wine at $17. Each is way out of line especially for the area so needless to say, I ate out at other places and did the same with cocktails and wine. I think they need to go to grip on the pricing and the menus. But even after all of this, I had a wonderful wonderful day. I was so happy to be there I had a beautiful walk around a few holes of the golf course around 6 PM and got to see all the beautiful wildlife I had been used to seeing when I worked there. I was a server and I also was the golf cart girl I have such fond memories of the place I was not disappointed every time I go back home to Mount Dora in the future I will be staying again at Mission Inn.
