Minerva House is an icon of Saddleworth, nestled between Clare & The Barossa valleys, with the closest winery and cellar door only a 5 minute drive away, there is plenty to see and do.
The historic Martindale Hall is only 25 minutes away, and both Heysen & Lavender Federation trails are nearby.
The space
Minerva is full of character, sitting on 3 quarters of an acre of private gardens.
There are 3 generous bedrooms, 2 guest bedrooms with queen sized beds, and 2 single beds in the third bedroom, sleeping 6 comfortably (with trundles available on request for up to 8).
There is a large, recently renovated bathroom with heated floors for those cold country mornings, as well as shower over clawfoot tub.
The kitchen is fitted with a full size fridge, dishwasher, large oven and plenty of bench space with room to prepare pizzas for the Italian woodfire pizza oven in the garden.
There are multiple areas outside to enjoy food and wine from the local Clare Valley wineries, as well as a dining room adjacent to the kitchen.
The charming “Gilbert Valley Hotel” is a 1 minute walk away, with full restaurant and bar with affordable takeaway food and wine.

Summary: The house is charming and full of character, although a few repairs are required, and the garden is lovely and well maintained. We had a few hiccups during our stay but they were quickly and appropriately addressed by Ashley.

Summary: Beautiful old house really made our stay. We loved the fireplace and the fire pit too! It really is one minute’s walk to the pub which is very good value for money and an excellent food. Highly recommend to other families.
