Positive: Ideally located for a traveler looking for peace and quiet amongst natural surroundings. The property is beautifully appointed, immaculately clean and has everything one would need for a few days stay. I was impressed by the wi-fi availability (good to have since mobile network coverage in the area can be sketchy sometimes), the TV had Netflix (if one is so inclined) and there was also a DVD player. The host has provided everything you need to put together a good breakfast or a decent meal (carry some vegetables and meat if you want to cook up a storm).

Summary: A refreshingly beautiful property in the middle of nowhere. A delightfully statisfying stay.

Positive: Fantastic stay. The house is lovely, very warm with the open fire and heaters in bedrooms. Enough space for our group of 6. Owner very friendly and the extra bonus of ‘Kitten’ the resident cat was a bonus for us all.

Positive: Beautiful house in a stunning location. Very homely! We ended up spending most of our time there in the property or garden rather than venturing further afield as it was just such a lovely place to be. We enjoyed collecting the fresh eggs from the chickens in the garden, sitting in front of the fire and playing boardgames. There are some great walks on the farm too. The resident cat, Kitten, was an absolute delight to spend time with, and the hosts were very friendly and accommodating.

Negative: We had a lot of rain whilst we were there and the drive flooded. This wasn't a problem for us and I think only happens with prolonged periods of very heavy rain. The hosts were wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed, and we were very happy to stay in by the fire, but just very occasionally access to and from the property may be affected by flooding. It was the day after we arrived and I think had we been checking in that day, we would have really struggled to access the property (our hire car would never have made it!). As it was it didn't cause us any problems though and the experience actually only added to the magic of our stay!

Positive: It was basically a luxurious home away from home. After a six hour drive, with just a couple of brief stops, arriving at Mill House with the log fire going and Kitten greeting us, was just the best. We were continuing on to Wellington the next morning and so having such a peaceful sleep was great, although it was difficult choosing which room to have as they were all beautifully decorated and laid out. It was a real home - not just accommodation - and as I was travelling with my adult son, we needed two sleeping areas/rooms, so this was ideal.

Negative: That we could only be there for one night as we needed to be in Wellington the next day. We would have loved to have been there for longer.

Summary: Beautiful home with everything thought off and an adorable cat.
