Positive: The hosts, Eugene and Natalie, have gone out of their way to provide state-of-the-art amenities: wifi access, fully equipped kitchen (with coffee pods and snacks), washer/dryer, rain shower with body jets, two flat-screen TVs, and more.

Negative: No cell service (with T-Mobile) was available indoors; we needed to go out to the driveway to get even a single bar. The only other amenity we would have liked is a place to sit outdoors. (Their home has a lovely deck, but it did not appear to be accessible to guests.)

Summary: Exceptionally thoughtful hosts went to great lengths to ensure that our time was pleasant.

Positive: The place is in an amazing location. Everything is super close, and it’s especially perfect if you’re planning to visit Napa Valley and SD, or check out the best places in the area. The neighborhood is very quiet, super clean, and really well-kept, just like the building itself and the apartment we rented. The hosts are really friendly and always respond quickly via text. They also gave us great instructions on how to get into the apartment, how to connect things, and just made everything easy. Thank you!

Negative: There wasn’t really anything we didn’t like. Everything was great, both in the apartment and around it.

Summary: I hope I’ll get a chance to come back here in the future.

Positive: Location was great. Beautiful neighborhood. Walking distance to store, restaurants, and hiking trails. Apartment was chic and clean and quiet. Bed was really comfortable! Very convenient having a washer and dryer. Host was attentive and pleasant when contacted.

Negative: Thermostat was regulated remotely by the host and preset to 72-74 degrees F. We could never get the temp quite right for comfort though the host made an effort to accommodate us. Also, the shower and TV were a little too complicated for this 20th-century couple. For people more technologically adept, they would likely be greatly appreciated.

Summary: Overall, this was a great place to stay.
