Summary: The hotel is no longer called Michigan City Inn. It’s now a Comfort Inn and it’s in separate need of upgrade, especially the exterior. Based on the outside of the place we would not have chosen to stay here except for the fact that our reservation was non refundable. It’s shabby, needs paint outside and inside. The ice machine is new and wasn’t even turned on when we arrived but the manager turned it on and it was full by the next morning. The room needed painting especially around the window but the window was new (still had plastic and a sticker on it). It was a comfortable room but there was nothing soundproof about it. The towels were nice and soft. The room smelled like some type of incense which was obnoxious but we became accustomed to it after a while. The lobby reeked of bleach. Slept in so we did not visit the breakfast area.

Summary: Property looked nothing like the pictures online. Hot tub not working, ice machine not working, had to go to desk to get towels for room, no breakfast like it said online. Room was fairly clean and bed and pillows comfortable. Not my 1st choice if I come back to the area
