Positive: Beautiful view from room was what sold me. Very short walk to the waters edge from my doorstep was a luxury. Staff were super helpful

Negative: Could have used an air conditioned common area with fridge etc. Room could have used a tv for the rainy days but still beautiful. Having to pay cash was a bit annoying but they showed me to the ATM when I arrived.

Positive: Easily the best spot on the Island! The location could not be better, right on bikini beach just next to Cokes Surf Break and many beachfront restaurants to choose from. My partner and I spent 8 nights at the Met House and would definitely go back. The team at the Met House are what made the experience for us. Darina (the host at the time), was an absolute legend and could not have been more helpful and friendly! Anything we needed or wanted to do she organised and made it happen and was always available when we needed her. She went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible time. She even held yoga classes for me at sunrise which I would highly recommend doing if you enjoy yoga. She’s a highly experienced teacher and just a wonderful human. The rest of the team Badil and Mohammad were also incredibly friendly and helpful and provided us with a delicious breakfast every morning (fresh fruit, eggs, toast etc or a traditional Maldivian option too) as well as additional extras that was above and beyond our expectations (focaccia in the afternoons, refreshing drinks etc). They were trustworthy, always available to help and provided us with everything we needed. The room was comfortable, air conditioned and cleaned daily. Once again, a 10/10 team at the Meg House, Thankyou Darina, Badil and Mohammad, for an incredible and memorable stay, we couldn’t have asked for more! We will be back!

Negative: One thing I will say is the walls were definitely thin and not very soundproof. Unfortunately this did mean we were kept awake most nights by a very loud family with kids next door. This isn’t a fault of the team at all, just something to be aware of if you’re staying here - perhaps pack some earplugs!
