Positive: The hotel is conveniently located next to Livingston Centre. Staff is friendly and welcoming and it made us feel at home from the very first moment we stepped in. Our room was very big, with a large and comfortable bed, as well as very comfortable pillows (which is really hard to find in hotels). Our room was meticulously cleaned daily and staff made a very good job cleaning. The hotel has a free car park. We decided to purchase the breakfast twice and we really enjoyed it. There was a variety of savoury foods and pastries, fresh fruits, cereals and yogurts, as well as juices and coffee drinks.

Negative: Carpet, furniture, and facilities are very outdated and would benefit from a refurbishment. Despite our room was really clean, we could still smell the old carpet. We wish there was a quicker way to walk to the shopping centre on foot. On one occasion, we went for breakfast and staff was busy chatting between themselves, while there were no spoons for the yogurt and plates were covered so we couldn’t find them.

Positive: Excellent staff and service, really accommodating and welcoming. Room was very clean and all in good condition. Bed was comfy. Good location for accessing Livingston and a drive into Edinburgh. We also ate in the restaurant and the food and service were both brilliant.
