Positive: You are staying with a chilean family, breakfast is at the kitchen table with the family. If you like that sort of experience (as I do) then its great, but if you're looking for a hotel experience then this is not it. There is a (freezing) river at the bottom of the garden that you can swim in. The hosts are friendly but speak no english.

Positive: We stayed with Pamela for a night on our way back North and it was the perfect pitstop. We were welcomed like family into her comfortable home and she made us a delicious breakfast. We couldn't get over her garden, a veritable oasis of flowers and fruits, even maqui berries dangling from the branch. She has a beautiful river running through the back of the garden and a treehouse chill out area right over it. We'd definitely recommend staying here for a comfortable and authentic Chilean homestay.
