Bienvenido a Melaque! This is a secure condo complex less than 90 meters from a quiet beach. Features 2 bedrooms with queen sized beds and a private bathroom in each bedroom. Cable, flat screen TV, as well as wireless internet. Fully modern kitchen and large living room/dining room. Relax on the shaded rooftop terrace while enjoying the great ocean view and the gentle sea breeze. You'll be able to swim in a quiet bay less than 90 meters from the front door. There are several great restaurants nearby as well. Whale watching and deep sea fishing excursions can be arranged through the owner. We can meet you at the Manzanillo airport when you arrive, give you a short tour on the way to the condo and also stop for whatever supplies you may need for your stay.

Summary: We loved the privacy this place offered. It’s located in a area near the beach within easy walking distance from live music, restaurants, groceries and downtown shopping! Our host was delightful and greeted us on arrival. She was nearby for anything we needed. We’d happily return anytime we can get away for a visit to Melaque!

Summary: We are 2 couples from Vancouver Island, Canada, who enjoyed our stay! Our 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo was very simple, priced right, and met our needs well. We were a short block to the best swimming and walking beach in Melaque, near a great music venue, and and not far from downtown. Ana & Les went out of their way to help enhance our experience and we really appreciated them! Melaque has an amazing sandy beach, a variety of fascinating sea birds, & nice restaurants. It’s a truly Mexican town and we enjoyed the opportunities to experience their culture. Many other interesting sights are just a bus ride away.

Summary: The space we had was perfect for us. A couple of things we experienced were the online ad for the space didn't clarify that there was no patio attached to our unit. We had access to a roof top patio but it was a 3 flight climb. There was a shared space on the ground level too. Hot water in the showers lasted about 30 seconds. However, the weather was hot enough that we could withstand the cooler water.

Summary: This property was very disappointing and not what we expected. The pictures on the Website do not necessarily represent the Unit that you stay in. The reviews look great but if you get the unit we had you are sure to be disappointed. Our unit was on the ground floor which had no views of anything except the 3 walls and the metal gate. Other guest referred to our unit as “The Fish Bowl” and it was fitting as everyone came and left through the front gate and had to walk by our unit so we had no privacy. Also the heat would collect in the courtyard and it was always hot. Not much of a breeze so it was hot inside and out. We had one air conditioning unit in one of the bedrooms which the owner, Les, did not like us to use at night as it “disturbed the other guests”. That is when we needed it the most so we could sleep. On arrival we had no hot water from our kitchen tap and it took 2 days to get fixed. We never did have any “hot” water the whole time we were there. Cold to lukewarm showers were all we got. The unit in general was dirty and we had 2 inch long cockroaches in our bathroom. The second bathroom sink didn’t drain properly and was always backing up with blackish looking water and there was streaks black mold in the shower. Ants were a constant problem in the kitchen as the counters had never been cleaned properly, old food under microwave and oven was dirty. The sheets provided were okay but the towels all should have been thrown out. They were ripped and stained and when we asked for clean ones we got more of the same. Toilet paper and soap are not provided. The pillows on our bed smelt bad and old and we had no mattress pad or protector on our bed. Internet was either poor on nonexistent. You had to walk up to the owner’s suite on the 3rd floor to get any kind of a signal and sometimes that didn’t work either. We were supposed to stay here for 3 weeks and had a friend staying with us for 2 of those weeks. When she left after 2 weeks we found another place to stay and left a week early. The owner had told us that if we didn’t like it there then we should just leave! So we did! We asked for a refund for the nights we were not there and Les did send us our money back 2 weeks after we left. Ana was not in residence for the whole time of our stay.

Summary: Anna and Les went above and beyond. Friendly and helpful. The place had a great vibe. Hosts and other guests all made for a comfortable and fun experience. Our suite and the whole place were spotless. Good working kitchen. The shared rooftop deck had a great view and good ambience. Certainly worth the climb!

Summary: Good location. Safe premises. Mostly clean and tidy. For the price it needs to do better. No hot water 90% of time. Internet not usable most of the time. Grease ants, no dish or personal soap, toilet floats need adjusting, ran out of toilet paper.

Summary: We were so very fortunate to have found this lovely and hospitable bungalow. Both Anna and Les went above and beyond to make us comfortable and welcome. There is no other place we will consider staying when we find ourselves in this part of the world. We highly recommend their place to all travelers who want to know there is a clean, comfortable and welcoming place waiting for them. Anna and Les are extremely wonderful hosts.

Summary: Two minute walk to the beach, five minute walk to town. Everything close restaurants, shops and pretty well anything you need. Good hosts and friendly dogs, Osita visited us everyday at dinner time, opened the screen door with her nose and promptly left right after her treats. WiFi could be a bit stronger. All in all we enjoyed our stay and are definitly looking forward to a return visit. Thanks Anna and Les.

Summary: The property is in the quite section of town and close to the beach. Super clean and spacious accommodations. The unit is well equipped with every comfort you need to make it an enjoyable vacation. Always felt safe and that is important too! A little store across the way was convenient. Would definitely stay again when we go back to Melaque
