Great family home on Mt.Desert Island. Walk to Cable Crossing beach, the Seawall, and convenient to Southwest Harbor for shopping and dining. Great home base for hiking & biking in Acadia National Park or sailing & kayaking in Great Harbor and Somes Sound.
Home sleeps 8 and has amenities for a relaxing vacation: books, videos/dvds, board games, piano, badminton. Great place for family reunion! Wave your hand on Seawall Rd and the free Islander bus will take you to town, Bar Harbor, and other Mt. Desert Island locations.
First floor: Large open living room with fireplace and piano opens to the dining room. Fully-stocked kitchen. Sun porch overlooks outside deck and private backyard. Office. Full bath, two bedrooms each with a queen bed.

Summary: I rented this house for my family, my brother and our parents to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary! It was perfect for us. Their bedroom was on the first floor so they didn’t have to climb stairs. The house was adorable, neat, clean and we had everything. It’s conveniently located near Acadia, Bar Harbor, Bass Harbor etc. we had a wonderful long weekend getaway with our family and my parents had quality time with us and their grandchildren. We love the area and we are very familiar with it but we usually camp so this was a nice change of pace. I emailed the owner with a concern and we received a prompt reply.

Summary: Very comfortable accommodations on Mt. Desert Isle for our first visit to the area! Was glad to be on the quiet side of the island and had plenty of space to spread out.

Summary: This house has everything you could ever want or need. I am very particular about houses I rent. This is well equipped, in good shape, in a good location, and is even bigger than the photos. The kitchen was one of the best kitchens I have experience with VRBO. I recommend this house. Large 4 bedroom house on a quiet street. Close to Seawall and Wonderland. Not too far from everywhere else on MDI and away from the crowds.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay here and all the house had to offer including everything you need for cooking, toys and games for kids, and nice outdoor space. It was very relaxing and the location is great!

Summary: Absolutely perfect! The house is bigger than it looks. The location is perfect!!! No hustle and bustle of crowds in Bar Harbor. Yet, we could get to almost every location on the east side of the island (even inside the park) within 30 minutes! The house had everything you could need! It’s the little touches that make it special and they were all here! Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

Summary: The house was spacious and comfortable, very homey, with good beds. The kitchen was well stocked with plates and pots and pans, perfect for our family dinners. The yard was great for extra space and access to the herb garden was nice.

Summary: Our family of 8 stayed comfortably in this house. The owner had lots of recommendations on nearby places to see, including her own favorites. The house had games for the family and plenty of space, inside and out, so we didn't feel cramped. Will definitely be staying here again when we return to Maine!

Summary: This home was perfect for our family! It was immaculate, welll-appointed and had all of the comforts of home. We loved exploring in the parks but enjoyed coming back to the house even more. The kids played games in the yard, made smores, made wonderful memories playing family game night on the three season porch. There were suggestions of their favorite spots for us to easily find, and there is so much to do we would love to return. We enjoyed the wildlife and even friendly neighbors. Elisabeth was incredibly helpful and an amazing host. Thank you for this opportunity, we would love to come back!
