Positive: Very big, perfect location very close to front doors of historic center and to the center of the activity. Host was gracious with her time and extremely willing to help. Lovely terrace to eat.

Negative: Nothing. It was perfect.

Summary: I would not hesitate to book again, this was a perfect home for our family.

Positive: Mariana was phenomenal throughout our entire process. She was very communicative and was always willing to help. She was very accommodating. The apartment was incredibly clean, and we immediately felt at home during our visit. Also, the AC was great and they had fast internet.

Negative: There is nothing to report. This was one of our favorite stays we had in Italy!

Positive: My husband and I stayed 10 nights and used Lecce as our base for day trips to other Puglia towns which we recommend as none of the other places we visited had the richness and charm of Lecce. Most— including many sidewalk cafés— a short walk from the apartment. Lecce’s historic district only allows cars owned by owners and vendors. But Mayu’s House is essentially a block from the exterior Porta Napoli where you can be dropped by taxis, meet van tours, etc. And beyond which one can walk directly to buy groceries, including at a full-size supermarket a flat 15 minute walk away. But you cannot carry back too many heavy items at a time— such as bottled water. The locals only drink bottled and/or boiled water. Marina did, however, provide us with a lot of water. This house has been in Marina’s family for some generations and it is her passion to preserve it and to have others enjoy it. She lives a 10-minutes drive away and is available for her guests for ANYTHING. If there is anything missing in the apartment, she’ll bring it to you! I can’t say enough about this adorable woman. Marina has restored and modernized this historic house from the front door up one flight of stairs lined with Lecce’s beautiful local buttery limestone. It has many rooms with original vaulted ceilings that look just like the photos and a very well appointed kitchen. The apartment has windows (most are full length) in every room and wraps around an interior terrace that is totally private. There are French doors in the main salon that look out onto a little sleepy street where you have the traditional view you would expect. The terrace gets almost full sun at noon, but there is always at least one little area were it is still shady so we moved around the table and chairs accordingly. There is a utility sink and drying rack so doing hand laundry is fun! (There’s also a washing machine in the second bathroom for those who prefer.

Positive: Mayu's House deserves 11 out of 10 if possible. We had great communication with Marina. She met us at Porta Napoli to bring us to her apartment. The apartment is spacious and felt like staying in a friend's home, not just a rental. She greeted us with snacks and a welcome prosecco on arrival. She even had some juice for our kids. The location is quiet, yet minutes from main tourist areas. In all the years we have booked rental apartments, Marina is the most welcoming and warmest hostess we have ever met. We could come back to Lecce just to stay at her house.

Positive: Amazing apartment positioned in the center of the old town. Great location. The apartment is huge, with many rooms and perfectly furnished. The interiors are very stylish and superbly restored. Marina, the landlady is really great! We have never had such a host. She had really taken care of everything, from the bottle of wine she welcomed us with, the cold mineral water in the fridges, the capsules for the coffee machine, really everything. Gave lots of tips about the town and surrounding area. It made our stay in Lecce an amazing vacation for the whole family. It is certainly an apartment that we will visit again!

Positive: This is a lovely historical 2-bedroom, 3-living room, 2-bathroom flat, that's situated in a converted monastery in historical Lecce. The ceiling is very high, well air-conditioned, located just 3-minute walk from the nearest public parking lot. The host was very attentive and offered personalized suggestions for the Solento region. Lecce itself is a hidden gem - such a beautiful historical town. The flat has all amenities needed - dishwasher, washing machine, stove, microwave, Italian coffee machine, toiletries and charming classical wooden furniture. We would gladly return to Lecce just to stay once again sunbathing in the private internal garden or to drink morning coffee on the charming balcony overlooking the white stone covered street below.

Negative: We will be really surprised if any future guest finds a reason to complain. Marina was simply the perfect host. We wish her and this place a lot of luck 🙏 and only well-wishing guests.
