Positive: Large, clean rooms, quiet location, surrounded by nature and temples. Although it’s not directly in Narita, it’s a great alternative. Much quieter and still everything you need is available. You can easily take a bus directly to Narita or the airport. The rooms are in traditional Japanese style, and the owners are incredibly friendly. I felt right at home! Thank you so much.

Positive: We arrived very late but the host Miko made us feel welcome from the time we arrived till the time we left. She went out of her way and made our stay a warm welcome to holiday in Japan. I would highly recommend this place and its nice and close to Narita airport only 30 minutes away. A nice place to unwind after your holiday in Japan. A great place to sleep in a Ryokon and experience a traditional Japanese home.

Negative: Nothing cant fault this place.

Summary: This place may look ordinary on the internet but the experience and host make it 5 star :)

Positive: This was my second visit at the Masugataya Ryokan and just like last year, I was very pleased with the accommodations. The staff has been exceptionally friendly and everybody did their best to make my 3-week vacation as comfortable as possible. I did not have breakfast included in my booking, so the only thing I have a question about is the fact, that I ended up paying a much higher price this March for a two-week stay than last November (almost twice as much). I do intend to include this Ryokan again in my future travel plans that take me to Japan. Thank you again for a wonderful experience. Roland
