Positive: It had old world charm that I liked. I dodnt realise that its the oldest hotel in Uganda until after I left.

Negative: They could have put in a bit more effort into the rooms.

Positive: I love this hotel. It's a classic place with charm and character. If you're on your way to or from Murchison Falls, this is the place to stay. When they were here filming The African Queen., room 3 is where Katherine Hepburn stayed and Humphrey Bogart was in room 5 The bar/restaurant is spacious and airy. We ate and drank well enjoying the atmosphere of this place.

Negative: Although at checkout, there was a slight confusion about the price of the items on the dinner menu, the staff graciously and generously worked things out. Thank you.

Positive: The staff and customer service were excellent, very attentive and eager to help with any requests. The room was cleaned well every day, and the communal spaces were very pretty and well maintained.

Negative: The room itself could have used a bit more attention. While it was very clean and comfortable, it was quite simple without much styling and the bathroom was a bit rundown (though very clean).

Summary: A great location in Masindi with lovely staff and pleasant atmosphere.
