Positive: We were absolutely blown away by the hospitality at Masa Nubian House. We only stayed for one night in Aswan but honestly, we all wished we had stayed for longer. It’s a family-owned business, more of a bed and breakfast than hotel. The property is newly refurbished and very clean. We were a bit apprehensive of staying on the Elephantine Island, given we had an early flight the next morning and weren’t sure about the boat service to cross the river, but Abdul and his family were proactive in giving us directions, meeting us where the public boat docked and helping arrange a taxi to the airport. They also prepared a delicious home-cooked dinner for a very reasonable price and offered to provide breakfast earlier than usual so we could eat before heading to the airport. The lovely terrace with a view of the Nile and Aswan was the cherry on top. I’d highly recommend staying here for a few days (and definitely preferred Aswan to Luxor) when traveling around Egypt.

Positive: Masa Nubian House is located on Elephantine Island, accessible from the mainland by ferry, a few minutes' walk from the ferry stop. The ferry runs every few minutes from 6am to midnight, so the location of the guesthouse was not a problem at all. The room and bedding were clean, we were satisfied with the room's equipment. The bed was comfortable, air conditioning was available, and there was always hot water. The view from the terrace overlooks the Nile, great! You can request two types of breakfast. The reservation price included scrambled eggs, Egyptian bread, tomatoes, cucumbers, jam, orange juice, yogurt and fruit. It was more than enough and delicious. 😊 For a small extra charge, you can request a Nubian breakfast. My eternal gratitude to Abdul, the owner, for all his help. He is truly hospitable, he listened to our wishes, he constantly followed up on our stay from booking to departure. Whenever I wrote to him, he replied immediately. He is very kind, curious, he can arrange anything, he constantly works to make the guests feel good. We had a great time, we expect to go back. 😊

Positive: Best experience ever. If I could rate it 100 out of 5, I absolutely would. The staff were beyond professional, kind, and genuinely welcoming, more like brothers than hosts, especially Abdo and Mohamed. Thank you, guys, for the unforgettable memories and the beautiful energy of this place. I will definitely be back one, two… a million times to this clean, peaceful, and truly special stay. See you again very soon, in winter. For anyone looking for a safe, calm, and authentic place, I highly recommend Masa Nubian House.

Positive: The host Abdul is very kind and caters to whatever needs you have. I asked for a vegan breakfast and they went above and beyond to make sure I had a good breakfast!! The room was comfortable and a great view of the Nile.

Negative: There is construction in front of the hotel but that is in the whole island.
