Positive: Location, great internet connection value for money The caravan had good faciities oven, micowave fridge freezer air fryer and toaster .Internet was good and the smart tv had netflix bbci and itvx so plenty to watch heaters which we needed only at night and a fire which we used again only at night. The water was hot enough for a good shower once we worked out how to light the boiler . The main complex with shop etc was only a couple min walk away and a large grass area just outside entrance to walk dog although beach at cresswell is only few min walk away Lots places within short drive to visit
Negative: Bedroom bit cramped as we are not little so found space bit limited and ok for 2 but think groups of more would feel squashed. No chairs to sit outside the caravan but possibly due to no storage for garden chairs The caravan is clean but could do with a refurb and a curtain or blind putting on the door as we felt people could see us at night through the glass door however for what we paid we felt it represented good value
Summary: Value for money

Positive: Beautiful and homely decoration, great location, comfortable bedding/very warm and thick duvet, warm and cozy rooms, good instructions about heater/water heater etc.. The children's playground,football/basketball pitch were a big hit for our kids.
Negative: A bit small for family of 4, cushion for the dining bench is a bit dated, water pressure isn't very strong, more blankets in the living room would provide better comfort

Positive: The caravan was easy to find and had a key box for entry, it was smaller than the other vans however it included free wifi, a small air fryer, adequate utensils, plates, cups, microwave, and is close to the shop and entertainment. This includes a bar, swimming pool, a children's park and amusements. Tickets were £17 for adults, not sure price on children as we didn't purchase any. The bar was full, and amusements were poor, so we chose to see and do other things. Including a visit to the holy island to show the children the causeway and priory. The local beaches were beautiful and the cleanest sand. The kids really enjoyed time there and dog friendly beaches.
Negative: Stayed here Easter weekend and on first impression I was very disappointed at how small and dirty it was compared to advertised photos. They were obviously taken and enhanced a long time ago. I had to give the worktops a good clean before we could start our break as it was clearly not cleaned, chopping board still covered in food and drinking glasses with lipstick round the edges, the dining table was sticky and fingerprints were on show everywhere, the teatowel and dishcloth were filthy and I had to go buy fairy liquid, antibacterial spray, cloths and new towels to use in the kitchen. The place is very old, tired and in need of a refurb, radiators loose on the wall, shower had no power and water didn't come out of every hole on the shower head, the second day of our stay the shower had barely any water coming out so partner could not shower at all. The bathroom door has no handle, so u are pinching the little lock to pull the door closed. Watching tv wasn't great, firstly the settee faces one direction and the tv faces another, the sunlight shines through the door preventing you from seeing the tv so we had to hang a towel on the door using hair bobbles. No nets or blinds fitted, so we had to close the main curtains for any privacy. The breakfast area was very uncomfortable to sit on and very small you can only get your legs under the table on one side leaving knees bruised banging against such a heavy wooden table during meals and it's very draughty. Children said the quilts were thin in their room, and there were no extra blankets, so bring some with you. The plug was very loose and dangerous in the children's bedroom and needs replacing. Previous people have said they could not start the boiler, we had no problems with this and the water from the kitchen tap is hot, the tap was in need of a replacement cap as it sprayed water out soaking me as I washed up.

Positive: The owner was polite, responsive, and helpful, especially with the boiler issue. The location was nice, with a charming café nearby for breakfast.
Negative: We had a pleasant time, but there were several issues that I feel are important to highlight for future guests. First of all, I had read some reviews prior to booking, so I was aware of potential minor problems, such as difficulties figuring out how to use the boiler. Unfortunately, on the first day of our arrival, there was a power outage in the area, which, of course, was beyond the owner’s control. That said, we did have to endure a couple of hours without heating, which wasn’t ideal. I want to take a moment to thank the owner, as he was very polite and helpful when we called for assistance with the boiler. His responsiveness was much appreciated. However, I must point out the cleanliness—or lack thereof—of the property. It was not properly cleaned, and it was evident that the effort to clean it had been minimal. I’ll include photos to illustrate this point. To be clear, this is not the owner’s fault directly. I understand this is a dog-friendly property, and we brought our own dog. However, our dog is well-trained and doesn’t jump on the sofa or beds. We brought his bed, and he stayed in his designated spot. It’s clear that the previous guests did not follow the rules, as there were dog hairs everywhere—even on surfaces that had not been cleaned. The beds had hairs and human hair as well, which was unacceptable. Under the bed, we even found a child’s T-shirt, which shows that vacuuming hadn’t been done. Basic hygiene, such as wiping down surfaces and vacuuming, was entirely neglected. The sofa had a strong odor of dog, which made sitting on it very unpleasant. To the owner’s credit, he had placed a notice asking guests to keep dogs off the sofa, but sadly, some people clearly don’t respect these rules. I also suspect that the bedding had not been changed, given the hairs and general state of the linens. For the price paid, I expected better. At least a minimum standard of cleanliness. I hope the cleaning standards will be improved for future guests.
