Positive: Huge, beautiful garden directly on the sea with practically a nice little private beach. Several outdoor seating, sea view from two of the bedrooms. The owner was super helpful and nice, supplied us with extra blankets as well.

Negative: There was no space for clothes. The wardrobes that were there were terribly moldy, which caused a musty, stale smell in the downstairs bedroom as well that you can not get rid of. The cleanliness especially of the downstairs bathroom.

Summary: This could be a beautiful place to stay in, just needs a bit of renovation and a little more cleanin

Positive: Our stay at la Marinella was superb. we arrived late due to flight delay and our host waited until 0130 to hand over keys and complete onsite paperwork. we found the house spacious and well equipped with a large partly shaded garden. At the bottom of the garden there is direct access to a pumice beach and coastal reserve affording excellent snorkelling among lava formations resembling coral reefs (foot wear essential). The sun shone for the whole week and when out of the water day trips to Syracuse and Noto offered varied interest among restaurants, and historical sites.

Negative: We would liked to have stayed longer than a week

Summary: Fantastic place with brilliant host
