Negative: Thank you again for having us stay at your property in Pemberton. We really appreciated the opportunity, however I wanted to share some honest feedback from our recent stay. Overall, we felt the property didn’t quite reflect the standard we expected for the price. The decor felt quite outdated and mismatched, and the home lacked character and attention to detail. The space felt quite dark and cold, and the furnishings didn’t create a warm or inviting atmosphere. When compared to other properties we’ve stayed at in the South West — for example, The Floating Forest in Denmark at a similar price point — the difference in overall experience was quite significant. Those stays felt thoughtfully designed and aligned with the value paid, whereas this one did not meet those same expectations. There were also a few maintenance and cleanliness concerns during our stay. The bath appeared worn and dated, and we noticed ants in the bathroom. The water also seemed heavily chlorinated, leaving a strong smell on our skin for some time after use. In terms of amenities, a few additions and updates could really improve the experience. For example, the kitchen felt quite minimal and could benefit from better setup and attention to detail, and a milk frother to accompany the coffee machine would be a simple but valuable addition. Overall, the home felt a little bare and in need of some care and finishing touches. We hope this feedback is helpful, as the property has a lot of potential with some updating and attention to detail. Given these concerns, we don’t feel the stay reflected the value paid and would appreciate consideration of a partial refund as previously discussed. Thank you again, and we look forward to hearing from you.

Positive: Loved the simplicity and it was neither too dated nor too modern, the location was fabulous, the wood fire and the spa bath were the reasons we booked this property. Lovely level of seclusion, beautifully presented hideaway, a wonderful stay.

Negative: The only thing that really let this property down was the lack of an oven and the fridge was very small for anything longer than a weekend stay. The coffee cups and glassware were a bit small but that was a minor concern.

Positive: Nice setting and chalet in the national park. Close to activities and not so far from Pemberton

Negative: Due to fire risks the lack of a wood fire meant it was a bit cold at times. - beds had electric blankets and rugs were provided - no alternative heating source. Would not be a problem in warmer months/ weather

Positive: The chalet was beautifully presented and looked better in real life than compared to the photos. You can't see the neighbours easily which makes it feel like you're the only ones around. It was clean and you felt at home walking in. The bathroom was spacious, with a gorgeous corner spa bath, and the kitchen was well equipped. I loved the open living area and that there was a fireplace. 6 coffee pods for the coffee machine was a bonus too!

Negative: We travelled in October, when it can still get a little cold at night. There were no curtains or window coverings on the main living area windows, which was a little odd. To enhance privacy and to keep the warmth in the cabin (especially in winter), it would be great to have the option of closing curtains in that main area. A milk frothing device would be handy to have for the coffee machine.

Summary: Beautifully presented chalets where you feel like you're the only ones in the national park.
