Positive: Amazing trip! Room was clean and staff were lovely! We had a fantastic stay.

Negative: Did not enjoy tiger show as they should be left alone - Wild cats should not be trained to perform for humans. Also should consider stopping elephants rides and feeding lions in the cages as the experience was amazing without that and its cruel.

Summary: Amazing experience and still would be without animal rides / cat feeding / performing

Tons of activities to explore, and even after 3D2N, we couldn’t do it all.A perfect spot for families with young children to enjoy nature and entertainment.

Negative: The hotel is a bit old, though it’s still clean and well-maintained. It’s quite far from the beach, so not ideal for those looking for a beach vacation.

Positive: I have stayed at the park many times and once again found it to be very beautiful, the accommodation is lovely and the staff are wonderful. Dining at the restaurant with the lions is memorable and the array of food served is amazing.

Negative: Since our first stay many years ago there have been many changes, some terrific but others not so great. The night safari has become very commercialised, which is great for the park’s revenue, but the inundation by hundreds of people to the restaurant and the constant coming and going of safari buses and vehicles for hours takes away some of what use to be a very special reason to stay at the park overnight. We had to be ferried down to the main entrance then hop on a bus to come back into the park just to end up where we had come from. It is still an ok night safari but for us who were staying at the park nothing special like it used to be to be. It is quite expensive to stay at the park but as a guest now there really isn’t anything special to justify the cost anymore. All the additional extras available to guests come at quite a price!

Summary: Enjoyed our stay but probably wouldn’t stay there again with all the changes.

Positive: Nice staff, nice experience and activities for kids (animals view, feeding, safari),.heated pool. Buggy service for distance between lobby /restaurant and room. Shows in the evening. Price include safari journey during the day, tiger show, elephant show, night shows. Overall nice experience, especially for kids, but only one time, I would probably not stay here again.

Negative: Bit dissapointed in the accomodation, first of all room seems cloggy and would need some improvement, refurbishment. I also did not like that, at least on booking, the only option with capacity for 2 adults and 1 child (3 years) was kifaru suite, which was quite expensive for what offered. Even it had 2 bedrooms and one living area, we only used one bedroom, so I do not understand why those rooms were not available if there is only one child of small age. There were a lot of spaces through which lot of lizards got into room, but let's say considering the safari location this can be expected. But there were also ants in some parts of the room and other insects could also get in, so I would have liked a curtain for insects around the bed (some rooms seem to have it according to photos, but not ours). Air conditioning in one room was not working, in the living area was not strong (luckily in the bedroom we used worked ok). Breakfast not so good, even though it was varied, part of food seemed not so fresh (bread was crumbly, squished tomatoes, strange taste of orange juice). The restaurant was ok, but not so many options for gluten free, as side dish they only cooked rice, so my dauther had 3 meals with rice.

Positive: We stayed here for one night during our trip to Bali. The price included several activities in the safari park, such as a tiger show, animal show, elephant show, fire dance, and a safari tour on a bus. The ambiance was absolutely stunning, offering a once-in-a-lifetime experience for someone like me who dreams of visiting Africa but hasn't had the chance yet. This experience provided a taste of safari in a controlled environment. The fire dance at night was incredible, with dancers performing to the rhythm of African music. You can also do other activities for an extra price like feeding giraffes and riding an elephant. Breakfast at the Lion Restaurant was also included, where we enjoyed a buffet of various dishes with a lion just a foot away from us, separated by glass. I highly recommend this experience, especially for families with children. Negative: We were excited to try the water play zone, expecting it to be like an aqua park, but it turned out to be a very small area designed mainly for kids. Unfortunately, it didn't meet our expectations. When we arrived around 2:00 PM, our room wasn't ready, so we had to wait about 30 minutes. However, the staff kindly allowed us to extend our stay by 30 minutes the next day, which made up for the delay. Also, the location is far away from Ubud and also Canggu and there isn't much to do besides this Safari Park, so for us one night stay was perfect. One thing that came to mind later was the elephant show. During the performance, the elephant mimicked being shot in the foot by hopping on three legs. I'm not sure how they trained the elephant to do that, but I hope it wasn't done using cruel methods like a hot stove. I truly hope that wasn't the case.

Positive: We have enjoyed an incredible two night stay at the Mara Safari Lodge. Our room was clean, bright, and comfortable with an excellent view of giraffes, zebras, and wilder-beast. We booked the Rhino package which ensured we had reserved seats at each type of animal show - all of the shows were brilliant! The Lion Restaurant was a highlight of our stay. Not only was the food delicious for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but the staff are indescribable. Incredibly helpful with bright smiles. In particular, Ayu Eka, Novi, MD Kariasa and Agus Nova really made our trip special. We hope to meet you all again in the future! Sampai jumpa lagi!

Negative: It’s worth noting that all the animal feedings require extra $$. We spent about 500,000 per day feeding (and didn’t do all the feedings). Just something to keep in mind.
