Positive: Very clean and welcoming and the heating was on when we arrived in very cold conditions. Lovely shower and good amenities. Very comfortable bed.

Negative: The room was a little chilly in the morning and no thermostat to warm it up. Not a big thing for me, but my wife does feel the cold more.

Negative: Although a restaurant onsite, it didn’t open for breakfast which was a shame. A carton of cereal in the room wasn’t inviting.

Positive: The location was pleasant. Nice beer in the garden in the afternoon.

Negative: On our second night there was a party in the adjacent bar/restaurant which was very loud. And the music (so-called) was awful. Lots of drunk people outside swearing. Not very pleasant. It did spoil it somewhat.

Positive: The location was perfect if you wanted to be in the middle of nowhere. We did. The scenery was breathtaking. We sat in the beer garden playing cards, listening to the sheep with rolling countryside as our view. There were no shops within walking distance but a 10 minute drive to the nearest village of Barton. The shower was very powerful. The TV was big and had no trouble connecting to channels or apps. Good WiFi connection. The View pub/restaurant was perfect. Staff were friendly, nothing was too much trouble (we were left no milk so husband popped over and they gave us a pint straight away) we had an evening meal which was very high quality.

Negative: There was only one chair in the room. We would have liked to have one each so one of us didn't have to sit on the bed. It wasn't a massive issue, but it would have been nice. The room was a little dusty, but not dirty. Only one pillow each (we always sleep with 2 so additional would have suited us better) We found the mattress very uncomfortable, very very firm. The room was very hot. Luckily, we bought our own fan but would have struggled without it. My biggest gripe was that I felt the path to the chalets should have had a gate. Although secluded from the pub garden with bushes, we had 3 children zipping up and down on scooters for a good hour, past our window, up and down the path of the chalets, screaming and shouting.

Positive: rooms compact but spacious at the same time not too cluttered just the right amount of appliances you need. very clean and tidy mostly. beautifully furnished and handy bedside lamp with very comfy bed. easy to access and handy there’s no check in staff so can turn up and leave as and when within reason.

Negative: we had teaspoons for coffee / tea and used these for breakfast as we had no bigger spoons which proved a little difficult to eat breakfast with so maybe guests would prefer having big spoons too. one of the curtain tie backs had broken off leaving just holes in the walls. I later found this in the tv unit cupboard and the make up my room hanger covered in thick dust in the tv unit cubby hole bit. the bed had thick dust on the one side of the head board too but I’m picky and it’s easily missed so overall for the price it was great ! an additional thought maybe have complimentary shower gels in small bottles for the stay as I didn’t take mine as usually accommodation has it if there’s a shower but for the price you can’t complain really. maybe add it to the listing shower accessories not included to save confusion for others walking about the scenery and needing a freshen up. the signs outside are not visible from a distance either on the doors so it felt like you were invading other peoples space when looking for our chalet as we had to be close up to see the names on the doors. overall however these are just minor things really like I said I’m picky but couldn’t complain overall
