Positive: Private parking for at least one car. Pleasant, peaceful and secure garden. Pleasant location. St Agnes cove and Portreath both very nice beaches.. Comfortable double bed. Good, clean and recently fitted shower. Washer drier (but drier program didn't work). Fridge/freezer Much larger kitchen than the photo shows. Log burner and logs. Dogs welcome Salt pepper, olive oil, milk, biscuits, shampoo, conditioner, shower wash, wash up liquid provided.

Negative: NB It is an old and characterful cottage so you can't expect hotel standards: Still, less than 'sparkling' condition. - Damp patch in lounge (reported to owner who promised to investigate) - As advert states (but worth repeating) the stairs are not suitable for anyone with dodgy knees as the handrail does not reach the top and the loo is downstairs - so I used the sofa bed which was comfortable enough. - Slow wifi measured between 3.9 to 5.7 mbps during our stay - 'Streaming services' translates to: You can 'try' to access TV via a BlueRay player using your own logins to BBC iplayer, ITV X, Netflix, Prime etc. After 3 days of trying - I gave up. (So advise taking a Firestick or be prepared to partake of the large collection of books and DVDs available). - Limited information provided in welcome email and no appliance instructions. You are asked to message the owner with any questions; who, in fairness, replied promptly. - Only 1 hand towel provided for 2 people for a week and a smallish towel each - so take your own. Also take your own bin bags, air freshener... and loo rolls for when you arrive... only 10 'sheets' provided. - Upstairs 'Wardrobe' spaces were NOT suitable. However there is a large cupboard downstairs with a large array of wetsuits and room to hang your clothes. - Toilet is awkward and unsteady (faces the wrong way) therefore not the easiest to 'access' for anyone with mobility issues. - Generally needs a deep clean I e. Internal doors and inside cupboards need painting.

Positive: Lovely Cornish cottage with a good sized garden set back off the road through the village. The cottage had excellent facilities and beds were very clean and comfortable. Would recommend this property and would return again in the future.

Negative: No real dislikes in the property, everything was good. There was only one thing that would be worth mentioning and could be easily rectified, the bush at the entrance to the driveway/parking has what we presumed a wasps nest in it as we had difficulty getting in and out of our cars without wasps getting in as there was so many of them.

Summary: We had a relaxing, peaceful stay with our dogs in Mapa Cottage. Such a lovely little Cornish cottage in a very nice vill

Positive: Beautiful little cottage, with fab log burning stove, 2 large bedrooms and a comfortable sofa bed. Great shower and everything you need in the kitchen.

Negative: A bit grubby, and a lock on the bathroom door would have been appreciated

Positive: Location. Lovely quiet village that is near the beach and access to A30 for exploring Cornwall. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped. Shower nice and hot. Great secure garden and off road parking. Log burner was very needed at beginning of week as still very cold, made cottage cosy(Londis shop luckily had logs for 1st night). Very relaxing place to stay, this was our second time. Quirky old property.

Negative: Advertised with internet, but signal is soooo slow that it was better to wait until had phone signal and use mobile data. Has some damp areas, but it’s an old cottage. Would have been nice if there was a comfortable sofa in sun room/dining room to use in day time. Sofa in lounge could do with new futon cushion as very hard to sit on. Little things but we still had a lovely relaxing time.

Summary: Lovely cottage in great location.

Positive: Quiet location, but easily able to explore this fantastic part of our country. Perfect relaxation place. Log burner & quaint cottage = happy holiday. Host Molly was brilliant with contact.

Negative: Was cold to start with as hadn’t had someone stay for few weeks as is off season. Soon as log burner was lit and heaters on it was cosy. Still a great place.
