Positive: It’s my sixth week staying with this wonderful family and from the very beginning this place felt like home thanks to their warmth and kindness. They really are some of the most lovely and genuine people I’ve ever met on all of my travels. What I value the most is that they’ve always been there for friendly chats and to help when needed but that they have completely respected my privacy and quiet time too. The house itself is absolutely stunning and so spacious. I couldn’t believe that I had such a beautiful room and balcony all to myself. The kitchen has also been very handy for preparing quick meals, the hot water in the shower is much appreciated and I haven’t had any issues with the WiFi either. Relaxing on the balcony, enjoying the peace and quiet, luscious green surroundings and watching the wildlife after a busy day of exploring and surfing really is the perfect way to unwind. Couldn’t ask for more or thank them enough for this fantastic time!!!

Positive: Where to begin.... going to Maneesha guesthouse LITERALLY feels like going home. As a solo woman, it's very important I feel comfortable and safe. Here, I feel loved and cared for like I am at home with my family. This is my 4th time in 5 years staying with this amazing family!! I cant stay away and i will definitely be back ❤️ Amma and appa are the most beautiful people and nothing is ever too much trouble. Randika (their son) is an amazing human who will be my brother for life ❤️ he will assist you with any question you may have about exploring sri lanka, including places not many tourists get to visit (and look out for his new tour guide business in the future 😍😍😍😍) They must offer the best hospitality in the world!! I have been to many places and countries and nothing comes close. You will never be hungry or thirsty, with theeee MOST delicious homemade food and drinks and plentiful portions. They can help you with scooter rental from an outstanding bike shop with top quality bikes. Randika also gave me an excellent scooter lesson to brush up on my skills and help me be fully capable driving sri lankan roads! The backthroom and room are spotless and comfortable (best pillows in sri lanka!). You'll be sure to get great sleeps here! Behind the house is a cinnamon plantation and in front is gorgeous green jungly goodness. You can relax on the balcony watching the squirels run around the trees. Monkeys and beautiful birds can be seen too. Plus the occasional wandering peacock 😄 Basically, 100000/10. ISTUTI, BUDU SARANAYI ❤️

Positive: From beginning to end, everything was perfect. This is the best place we have stayed so far in Sri Lanka. The host family is super nice, friendly, and caring. We were taken care of like their own family. Everyday breakfast was hearty and fulfilling. They offered us evening tea also without extra cost. The room and bathroom were spot clean. There is plenty of natural light. And spacious room. This was a much needed perfect getaway for us, away from all the hustle and bustle, peaceful relaxing area. It takes 20 minutes' walk to the nearest town area. You can find everything and anything you want. Overall, it was a very positive experience.
