Positive: The guesthouse lies just outside the old town and as a result has a great view of the picturesque Dartlo village and stone towers. It has a beautifully tended garden with flowers (the most beautiful in Dartlo) and the whole host family was exceptionally kind and attentive. We were served a feast for dinner and an extremely generous breakfast, all with herbs and vegetables from the garden. We had a room with views of Dartlo and a private bath with copious hot water. Very relaxing and romantic atmosphere.
Summary: Beautiful garden, spectacular dinner and breakfast, and bucolic atmosphere

Positive: We are a family with teenage boys and had an absolutely great time in Dartlo. The location was the clear highlight of our Georgia trip and the family, owning the place and the staff was absolutely wonderful! The trip started with the great adventure of riding up the Abano Pass with their Land Cruiser taxi. Reaching the guesthouse, a gorgeous family and team welcomed us and regaled us with delicious mountain cuisine and home-brewed beer and vine. It is a wonderful place for hiking and chilling. We enjoyed every minute!
Negative: Everything was perfect except maybe that one mattress, earlier guests already mentioned :)
Summary: The absolute highlight of our Georgia trip

Positive: Magnificent location, staff hospitality is beyond expectations. Breakfast and dinner are of "eat to death" kind - impossible to eat it all by one person. Some may like that, some not (I do) but road to the property is real adventure; one definitely needs a decent 4x4 (fueled to the top as there are no gas stations nearby) to reach it and return.
Negative: The biggest surprise was lack of power outlets in the rooms; everyone charge their phones on terrace. No hot water too.

Positive: Great location Pleasant veranda to relax Plenty of hot water in the shower with great pressure Tasty food Comfortable beds and warm duvet Room was spotless clean
Negative: There was a large group checking in the day we came (they didn’t bother us at all) and the staff seemed more focused on serving them; we didn’t feel very welcomed nor looked after. Rooms are tiny and the double room has quite a small bed for 2 people. Couple might be better off choosing the twin beds. While tasty, meals were less plentiful and varied than in other homestays we stayed at in the region.
