Positive: Lovely welcome by the owners. Nice dinner with a good atmosphere. The owners were extremely kind to supply dry clothes as ours were wet while caught in the rain. The owner also drove us to Omalo the other day.

Positive: We had a pleasant stay at Hotel Dartlo during our Omalo–Shatili trek. The building has great potential, it is partly under construction, with new rooms being added and the upper terrace being expanded. There is space to hang laundry, and the view from the terrace and dining area is very beautiful. The beds were very comfortable. The owner’s son was communicative in English, and the lady at the property was kind, asking if we would like tea or coffee.
Negative: As for dinner and breakfast, they were simply okay. We didn’t feel it was the best price–quality ratio, especially for our friends who didn’t have breakfast included in the price. On the positive side, wine was served with dinner.
Summary: Decent place to stay on Omalo-Shatili trekking route
