Ocean views and breezes with a short walk to private beach. A rare find in BHI's Killegray Ridge-a five bedroom/five bath home with wide open space on three sides and positioned on the dune to maximize the Atlantic panoramas. Relish being in the heart of the Island and just steps to the sand.! Providing shimmering water views from every room, this recently renovated home offers a reverse floor plan starting with a sunlit King Primary suite with its own full bath. Down the hall, a spacious, sunny, ship-lapped bunk room houses two Twins and a Full. Beyond, light-filled Queen suite offers its own private entrance to the hall bath, with a jetted tub. At the end of the passage, is a shady screened porch – the perfect spot to enjoy salty breezes and soothing sea serenades while napping, reading a book, or simply relaxing.
Upstairs, the airy, vaulted open floor plan provides “wow” seascapes on three sides. The generous, well-appointed living area accesses a sundrenched ocean-facing deck-perfect for tanning as well as sunset watches. The dining space makes the most of its three sides of windows that showcase Frying Pan Shoals and down South Beach. The adjacent multi-chef kitchen features an island with a breakfast bar and cooktop as well as stainless appliances and plenty of storage and counter space. There is another full bath located on this floor.
Then it gets even more interesting and inviting. Across the patio you will find the home’s two-story crofter (aka, guest house) with two more recently renovated and decorated suites (each independently accessible). One is a bright, ship-lapped Queen with its own full bath, and the other an ample King with a private en-suite and a scenic sea vista porch. The guesthouse is perfect for in-laws, multiple families, or older kids that want some space.
Between the main house and crofter is an outdoor shower and a great grill patio (with Weber Genesis grill) and private dining deck.
The kitchen is fully equipped for the gourmet cook in your group to make great memories with delicious meals.
This house comes with two golf carts-a four and a six passenger, adult bikes*, beach chairs, boogie boards, and a beach umbrella. There are a variety of helmets but if you need specific ones, please bring them with you.
A very short cart ride gets you to the new BHI Club which features 4 new tennis courts, playground, short-grass recreational area, workout facility, multiple swimming pools and water slide, croquet courts, casual and fine and casual dining. And, of course, the George Cobb designed, award-winning 18-hole golf course. Also, just a short cart drive or nice walk along the beach is the island's majestic point and the Shoals Club with its pools and excellent restaurants.

BHI is one of North Carolina's southernmost cape islands and is only accessible by boat or ferry, which departs frequently out of Southport, NC 40 minutes from Wilmington, NC airport. 14 miles of pristine beaches make BHI and Oceanside Bluff perfect for your vacation getaway.

Reviewer Comments: Our extended family had an awesome beach vacation at 2 Killegray Ridge on BHI. Pros: the setup of a main house plus a carriage property allowed everyone their own space. The property is a ~3 minute walk to the beautiful beach so it's super convenient. The kitchen included just about everything you need for a week away, but if you plan to cook-in for the majority of your stay then think about bringing some cooking pans. Finally, our property manager was really responsive and helpful during our stay (thanks Things to consider: if you have more than 10 guests then you probably want another property as we had JUST enough space for our crew of 6 adults and 4 teenagers. The main house common area was meant more for 8-ish versus 10+ - not a minus, just want others to be aware.

Our extended family of 11 people stayed here and the experience was enjoyed by adults and kids alike. With a short golf cart ride to key island locations and a quick walk across the street to the beautiful beach, you will find everything you need here. Barbara and Tyler were extremely accommodating pre-trip and post-trip when they helped look for a lost item (that ended up being found at home with it's owner). We had a wonderful experience and would gladly stay again at this or one of Barbara and Tyler's other properties. Thank you!

We have been going for years and we have finally found a home we will come back to year after year. The location is perfect, in between Shoals and Bald Head Island Club and in walking distance to the beach. The main home has beautiful views of the ocean and watching the sunset from the porch was breathtaking. The two crofter spaces were perfect for the grandparents. The home is well stocked in the kitchen and with all the beach gear you need, including bikes and lots of beach toys. The property manager was extremely responsive. We can’t wait to go back next year!

The home was spacious, easily accessible and could handily support families or large groups of up to 10-12 with something for everyone. From scenic views of the sea via the balcony to comfortable couches & even board games, we had a memorable stay. Special shout out to the property manager who not only helped us with supplies but provided ongoing support throughout our stay, as well as to the people at Bald Head who were very welcoming.
