Located in the Uptown/Garden District of New Orleans, only 3 blocks from St. Charles Avenue, this historic bed and breakfast was built in 1892 by the owner of Jackson Brewery and offers ornamental woodwork, beautiful antiques, and thoughtful services. All guest rooms at the Maison Perrier feature air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and free WiFi. Guests can appreciate private bathrooms with free toiletries. Some rooms offer a spa bath. An expansive, free breakfast is served every morning. Hot, scratch-made mini-quiches, which will change daily, and home-baked pastries that range from delicious scones, to sweet breads or breakfast cakes, to traditional almond or chocolate croissants, to various homemade muffins are served daily, along with three to four types of fresh fruit, yogurts, granola (gluten-free upon request), whole-grain toast, breakfast bars, hard-boiled eggs, coffee, tea, and orange juice. Positive: The house is an amazing jewel, pristinely kept by lovely hosts Tom and Patricia. The decoration is so authentic! Breakfast is homemade, and the quiches and pastries are to die for... Air conditioning and wifi work great in all corners of the house. Neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. Three blocks away from street car and great location to reach other parts of the city. The Irene room was spacious, very comfortable, and spotless clean. Loved it and would certainly book again -- have to book way in advance because it is a very sought for property!

Positive: Everything during our stay was exceptional. Tom and Patricia are very gracious hosts that ensured we received detailed information about every aspect of the inn, how to traverse New Orleans via streetcar and recommended wonderful restaurants and sights. Their attention to these details was definitely a 5 plus!!!

Negative: The only thing that could have been better is another 2 or 3 days added to our 4 day stay!!

Summary: This stay was as relaxing, enjoyable and stress relieving of any I have experienced in my 73 years.
