Positive: This was an amazing place, the photos don't do it justice. The house and gardens are like a little oasis of calm in the French countryside. The pool was beautiful and the perfect place to cool down in the heat of the day. There are several outdoor sitting areas to trace the sun during the day, with a little hammock alcove to lie and read your book. Hayette and Smaïl are wonderful hosts who can't do enough for you. They live nearby and are always available. The location is a great spot for either doing nothing or heading into the local villages, or Aix is only a few minutes drive away for a perfect smaller French city.

Negative: I honestly can't think of anything.

Positive: Have to say that we had absolutely excellent welcome from the owners of this nice house! Perfect communication and friendly approach. The house was exactly what we imagined and was a great vacation spot for us. Everything worked perfectly! We received many good recommendations for trips. The house is spacious and cozy. We were completely satisfied in it. Samil and Hayette are amazing people and their kind care for us was great. We are very grateful to have met them.

Positive: The location was perfect just outside Aix. We were able to easily reach Gordes and surrounding towns. There is a great market close by where we could get produce, fish, meats, wine, bread and pastries! Even a pharmacy. Great secure parking for our car. This place will not disappoint! The hosts were amazing and extremely helpful. Helped with our luggage and anything we needed. Kitchen very well equipped.

Negative: Nothing. Loved it all!

Summary: Absolutely fabulous! I hope to return to this paradise.

Positive: All the reviews on Airbnb are true to form so I am not going to reiterate how gorgeous and well equipped this property is, but just look at it from a different angle. I am a last-minute booker AND I generally like a place where I can pick up the keys from a lock box and basically be left alone for the week. So, when I saw this available at the price it was, on Booking.com with no reviews (it was a new listing), I thought it was too good to be true and that maybe the owners actually lived at the property and you were only renting a section of it. It IS their home, but they move out when it is rented out and whilst it is beautifully decorated, you don’t feel like you are invading someone’s personal space. Hayette and Smail were actually travelling when we arrived so we were met by Nadia who showed us around and handed us the keys. Later that day we were contacted by a neighbour Sebastien who came over with an inventory (this protects everyone) … he was SO nice, communication was funny and google translate was involved a lot but we got there, so much so that he gave us a lift into Aix-en-Provence the following day to pick up a hire car, and later in the week he even got us a table at a seemingly fully booked restaurant!. On their return, Hayette and Smail came to introduce themselves and they were lovely too and even ended up taking us to the airport as we had to drop the car off the day before. My point is, such friendly people can really make a difference to your holiday so don’t be like me… embrace it! I would absolutely and thoroughly recommend staying here.

Negative: This is not a complaint, just 2 points of interest. 1) There are steps in the property between the kitchen and living areas so possibly not suitable for those who aren't so mobile or for toddlers. 2) You will need a car. It is in a beautiful location but a car is necessary unless you want to use taxi's. So many amazing places to visit anyway so you will want one.

Summary: Loved it, would definitely go back... if they'd have me!
