Positive: Lovely old house with nice garden and screen porch, attractively furnished, hostess extremely kind and helpful host who made us and our dog feel very welcome. Cold drinks and snacks available on arrival, and delicious home-made quiche and apple crisp for breakfast. Highly recommended. Also close to Crowders Mtn and King's Mtn parks for hiking.

Negative: That we could only stay one night!

Summary: really lovely stay, will go back.

Positive: The staff Laurie was excellent and went above and beyond to allow me the flexibility to come and go as I needed to. I was at a wedding and visiting a friend/family member who was staying in the hospital and needed the flexibility. Wonderful stay. Will return.

Positive: Historic home beautifully decorated. Host was relaxed and welcoming. Because there were no other rooms booked, we had the entire property to ourselves.

Positive: Laura, the owner and operator, was the nicest person and made me feel welcome the second I entered the home. Everything was clean and worked well, especially for an older house. The bathroom had everything you might need and the water was hot with good pressure. I was offered beer and wine in the refrigerator upon check-in which I thought was a lovely gesture after a long day on the road! There were even robes and slippers in the closet! I was not expecting all of that when I checked in! The breakfast she made in the morning was the best part of the experience! It was so nice to sit down with her and the other family that was staying there for a meal together. Personally, I think the free beer/wine and the breakfast alone make this place an incredible value. Don’t stay in a soulless hotel. Stay in a real home with real nice people and a real good meal.

Summary: There is no better experience or value in Clover. I will always stay here when I’m in town!
