Summary: I do not usually write hotel reviews, but I must brag on this diamond of a find in northern Thailand. The level of quality found in every aspect of the Maekok River Village Resort was amazing. Dinner at sunset, overlooking the Maekok river was absolutely the best meal I've ever had in Thailand. I will remember it for a lifetime! The extensive gardens with secret pathways was a pleasant surprise. The room was beautifully appointed and the staff were friendly and professional. I give special kudos to the owner who obviously does a great job of training. I highly recommend this resort!

Summary: Very impressed how well-kept this resort was. We were given a river kayaking session for FREE(!!) possibly either because we were put together with a group of students (which was really fun in itself) or just the owner was simply nice. Either way we enjoyed it very much.
