Positive: It was a nice old style roadside motel, pool was clean and nice, rooms were small but functional and very clean, the staff was great got new towels and such almost every day, no housekeeping but no big deal, had free coffee and tea every morning. Centrally located close to everything even the UP

Negative: Thought it was a little weird that the owner had a house built onsite through one of the motel doors for an entrance and the parking was a little tight.

Summary: Was a nice place with a great location which gave us the ability to do day trips during are stay

Positive: We were vacationing with some friends that were camping at the nearby campgrounds. The motel was conveniently located very close by so we could enjoy the beauty of the campgrounds with our friends but then go back to the comfort of our motel room which worked out perfect for us. The rooms are small but clean, comfortable and they have a TV. We really appreciated the coffee hut just a few steps steps from our room. Also, a short walk to the back of the motel property there is a clearing with a picnic table on the shore line with a beautiful view of the Mackinac Bridge and Mackinac Island. Highly recommend going at night to see the bridge lit up and the night sky full of stars. They also have a pool which is a nice perk, we didn’t use it because we visited in the Fall so it was closed for the season.

Negative: Parking lot is small so having to parallel park in front of our room was a little tricky. A little pastry or cookies would be nice in the coffee hut.

Positive: We were in room 1 and it was exceptionally clean..which is most important. Loved the coffee in the morning.i can not express how clean it was..that's what I look for when reserving,

Negative: The air wasn't getting cool as we would prefer, the bed felt a little like you would roll off one side..

Negative: Kind of far from town.. room was small as advertised. I prefer electronic cards over old fashioned keys. I would prefer to be able to check in at any time. There is no staff on duty after 10pm.
