Summary: I’ve stayed here many times before and was sadly disappointed this time. On arrival the receptionist was offhand verging on rude. There was a kettle in my room but no base with a plug. No shower gel in the bathroom and no hot water this morning. My room was near a generator (I realise this is just bad luck of course) so I got very little sleep. Overall the experience was very below par I’m afraid….

Summary: The room was very comfortable, although there was some noise from the external fans on the flat roof. Breakfast was good with a wide choice. The site is excellent and nearly all the staff was welcoming and smiling.

Summary: Stayed in a very spacious suite. Nice bed, tv in bathroom but couldn’t get it to work….tight on toiletries, one mini shower gel is not enough for 2 people. Supper in restaurant was good. Breakfast was ok but really grating was full English was included in b&b rate but if you wanted avocado on toast a £6 supplement as was smoked salmon and and scrambled egg as was 2 more items…..only had cheap white bread for toast. Continental selection was poor. Staff tried hard but understaffed especially in the bar in the evening. Hotel is in a beautiful setting and close to walk to high street where there’s some good shops.

Summary: Lovely room though very disappointed to learn that upon booking two nights that my room was not made up adequately, waters not replaced, bathroom not cleaned and bins not emptied. To add insult to injury, my 2nd night was more expensive. Unless I get some kind of positive response, I will almost certainly go public on social media with my findings.

Summary: The rooms are tired and could do with a refresh and a lick of paint. Likewise with the bathroom /fittings. No facilities in room to make a cup of tea; just a coffee machine with unidentified coffee pods. Towels were hard could do with fluffing up. Has to pay extra for a speciality coffee at breakfast which is a bit naughty. For what we paid for two nights, somewhat disappointed. We’ve stayed in better for less. If it weren’t for this hotel’s location, I think it would struggle. On the plus side, the staff were friendly, there’s ample parking and its a stones throw into Marlow!
