Lydia is one of the original cave dwellings combines an aristocratic character with the traditional local architecture and style, offering a unique accommodation experience at the famous island of Santorini.
Its a private villa separated in two independent houses with common terraces, yards, patios, BBQ and outdoor hot tub Jacuzzi available to accommodate group of friends and families. The main house offers three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room and a dining room.
The second house is a mezonette house, with a spacious living room and a dining area, a bathroom, a kitchenette and on the higher level a bedroom with en suite bathroom.
Both houses are rented as one private property and are available to accommodate with ease up to 10 guests.

Summary: What a wonderful condo! With 4 bedrooms, we all had our own and there were 3 bathrooms, which were small, but we managed.We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the people and vehicles go by. It was a bit loud, but we didn't care.The loudness of the outside world did not disturb our sleep, and it was fun "living" over a pizza shop which offered much more than pizza.

Summary: The cave villa was beautiful and authentic feeling which I liked. With a gorgeous courtyard and outside tub and balcony. The rest left a lot to be desired. It’s listed as three bedrooms when in fact there is one bedroom (with glass shutters so not privacy to the main living room) and that bedroom has a loft above it that they count as a second bedroom but there is no privacy and you cannot stand in the loft unless you are under 5’ 6 inches. And the third bedroom just has a curtain separating it from the dining room. Also the beds were so extremely hard two of us had to sleep on the couch. For me, while I loved the traditional decor and charm the lack of private bedrooms and hard beds made it a no go for us. Also there is little to no service in the place which is hard if you have to connect with family.

Summary: We had a great stay while island hopping - Vera was awesome and extremely knowledgeable for local areas to go and what to do if you have not planned anything (we had not. The Villa is beautiful - our kids loved being tucked away in a cave - it was nice and cool at night and plenty of outdoor space for the adults to relax when the kids went to bed. Easy to walk around and easy to quickly get a taxi when you need one.

Summary: It is a beautiful cave home, built 200 years ago. The biggest miss was we were not told about the dehumidifiers and things got damp very quickly. Once i realized the dehumidifiers had shut off, we dumped them 3 times a day to keep up with the water collected. The design of the home is quite different, whereas the bathroom is right off the kitchen and the main bedroom is clear at the other end of the house. (We realize that when this house was built there was no plumbing or electricity.)And watch the steps between rooms, as there are small ledges that are a big tripping hazard. We loved the location. We were able to walk to Fira with no problems. The neighborhood has no cars, so be prepared to walk in with your luggage in tow. Check in was easy, the host was very nice.

Summary: I celebrated my 60th birthday with a group of friends. With 4 bathrooms for 6 ladies (yay!) wonderful top patio and lots of beds! Short distance to everything but out of the noise! We woke up in the morning to gorgeous sunrises and beautiful church bells. Santorini you have my heart! 5 stars all the way! Gracious host! And I would stay again in a heartbeat!

Summary: Plenty of room for all of us. Clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed. Central location on the island and not too far from Fira and the restaurants and shopping. Kids enjoyed the hot tub with the view of the Aegean in the distance. Cool architecture and a cozy home for our stay.
