Peaceful, picturesque, luxury Chateau in Challock, in the heart of Kent, with amazing views from the terrace which sleeps up to six people, with well behaved dogs allowed.
Close to Ashford, Faversham and Canterbury.
The West Wing is spacious with ample parking, set well back from the road, a terrace with amazing views, garden space and offers a well equipped kitchen diner, shower room, traditional larder, utility room (complete with dishwasher and washing machine), dining room and comfy sitting room (furnished with comfy sofas and chairs) downstairs.
Whilst upstairs there are three nicely appointed, large bedrooms, each with their own bath or shower room (including two rooms with King size beds), all incredibly spacious.
The Sitting Room has with a lovely wood burner, perfect for those chilly Winter nights with a wine theme, including a unique, handcrafted coffee table and a stunning clock, perfect for the French style Chateau, furnished with two large comfy sofas, two chairs and two pouffes.
Alternatively you can enjoy the tranquil, paved terrace, complete with table and chairs overlooking woodland (deer have been seen, along with many pheasants. buzzards, rabbits, squirrels and hedgehogs!) and a valley whilst soaking up the sun and a glass of wine or maybe a BBQ which is a permanent feature on the terrace.
There is a large front garden, containing many different plants and trees as well as a vast lawn which can be enjoyed.
The Dining room is home to a large formal dining table, that seats 8-10 people with comfy chairs, complete with table mats and coasters.
The well equipped kitchen has a large five burner Lacanche range with two ovens, with some hand painted tiles above it, a wooden table and chairs, fridge/freezer, fly zapper and large range of crockery and glassware. The larder has a old fashioned 'cold' shelf and plenty of storage space.
Close by is the famous 'King Wood' for relaxing walks as well as many attractions including historic castles and cathedral's, gardens, zoos, shopping, vineyards, beaches and beautiful quaint villages and towns.
There is a pub within walking distance offering, which often hosts car meets where you can look at a wide selection of unusual cars, be that sport or more classic.
Perfect location for a day out in the historic city of Canterbury or the quaint town of Faversham, famous coastal destination of Whitstable, a tour of one of the many local vineyards, or shopping at the Mcarthurglen Designer Outlet in Ashford, these are so many more are just on your doorstep.

Summary: We had booked a boat on the Thames for my 50th birthday for bank holiday weekend.. two days before we were due to leave it was cancelled due to the rivers being on red alert. Having spent months planning it we didn’t know what to do instead. We feel incredibly lucky to have found Le Chateaux was available. Communication was great, checkin was easy as we were met and handed keys. The house was clean, tidy and welcoming with local wine left for us. We had the most relaxing stay and really enjoyed our weekend away. It is a stunning property with fabulous views!

Summary: Fantastic spacious place which had all we needed. The fireplace in the living room was great for a cosy evening on the huge sofas. We enjoyed the dining room with a beautiful table and serviettes and table mats for a sophisticated dinner. Kitchen had plenty cutlery, crockery, glasses, and dishes and cooking utensils. Just a tea pot was missing for us. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean. Just a few glasses and cups that needed a rinse. The kettle looked not right at the bottom so we didn’t use it. But really only a minor point. A folder with lots of useful information and a welcome letter with a nice bottle of wine welcomed us. Herb garden was at our disposal. The house is very spacious. The weather didn’t allow us to use the outdoor space for breakfast which was a real shame. We had a fantastic time!

Summary: We all enjoyed this chateau, far reaching views of beautiful countryside. The location was perfect for getting to different areas of Kent. The only thing we missed was wardrobe space in the yellow bedroom, and drawers in the turret room. Toilet brushes need changing hence the 4/5 rating for cleanliness.
