The cottage, formerly an old stable block, has been tastefully converted into a very comfortable and welcoming property. The open plan living accommodation whilst being very spacious it still cosy and as well as full central heating the cottage benefits from a wood burning stove - perfect for those relaxing winter evenings! The very well equipped cottage has a large handmade kitchen with circular table and chairs, large sofas for relaxing. The doors lead out onto a large walled and gated patio garden with table and chairs and barbeque. We have some lovely walks or bike rides from the door and the village pub just a short stroll from the cottage door.

Summary: The Old Stables was the perfect place to spend a week in the South Downs. So comfortable and well equipped with high quality fittings, furniture and linens; a home from home. Carole and Gaynor responded quickly to enquiries before arrival and checked we had everything we needed after and provided useful local info. Oh and a lovely homemade cake too! We hope to return again soon.
