Positive: The team made a real effort to make our stay special, particularly for my mum’s 60th birthday. The decorations (which we paid for) were beautifully done and the cake was arranged seamlessly. The spa facilities were a highlight – the massages were excellent and the hammam was lovely. Staff were polite and responsive throughout, and small requests (like providing a high chair) were handled quickly. Early check-in was also appreciated.

Negative: The main issue was housekeeping. The listing suggested daily cleaning, but this was not the case in practice. The same staff member appeared to be responsible for both cooking and cleaning, which made it difficult for cleaning to be done consistently. There was also no microwave, which made reheating food difficult as the oven was not practical for this. Flies were a noticeable issue, both indoors (including the living area) and outdoors, especially during mealtimes. While this may be a regional issue, it did affect comfort. Simple measures such as table fans during meals (which help keep flies away), food covers, or fly traps/zappers placed near dining areas would make a significant difference.

Positive: Everyone at the villa was extremely accommodating and friendly. I hosted a women's retreat and all of the women felt safe and comfortable at all moments. We appreciated all of the little details to make our stay as smooth as possible- everyone went above and beyond. We interacted with Younes and Muhammad the most, every day, and we were always greeted with a smile and openness to help. This ranged from setting up movie night outside, advice with spa treatments, organising breakfast times around our activities and feeling safe and secure everynight with Muhammad the security man outside- setting up fires and greeting us when arriving in taxi's. These extra moments are what made this retreat such an unforgettable experience. The villa itself is a stunning property and cannot be faulted. But it is the family like atmosphere that makes this a 5* property and somewhere I will always recommend others book for their Marrakech stay.

Negative: Nothing to say here as if we had any small hiccups it was always happily sorted- a quick message or a check in would resolve any issues smoothly and quickly- perfect for large family celebrations or in my case, hosting a women's retreat- where smooth organisation and good communication is essential (I asked many many questions constantly and always received a helpful response).

The rooms were spectacular, beautifully designed, and offered a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. The chef prepared delicious meals that delighted our taste buds, and the jacuzzi experience was simply magnificent. Our kids absolutely loved the pool and the garden, and the spa facilities were top-notch. The sauna, hammam, and massages provided by the professional team were the cherry on top. Positive: The rooms were all a good size, with en-suites in all but one room. Lovely outdoor area with great seating areas and a fire for colder months/evenings, as well as a well-sized indoor lounge. The host was responsive. Gated parking for 1 car, with further parking on the street as needed. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful and the host was flexible with timing of breakfast, as well as putting some pastries out the night before for a morning we had a very early start. Attentive security guard.

Negative: - The charges for all extras were very high. E.g. €50/hour to use the jacuzzi is steep. To book a taxi into town via the villa, we were quoted €100 by the villa (using the only service they helped organise), when a local taxi was €20. No access to sauna without paying extra. Felt like a bit opportunistic from the villa. - Communication in advance could be improved slightly with a €150 tourist tax we were asked to pay in cash on arrival as well as a €150 cash deposit we didn't know about in advance. - One set of house keys was a bit of a nuisance. Most of the time the security guard or host was in so this wasn't a a major issue, but would recommend supplying a couple more sets considering up to 12 guests stay there. - Location is quite far from the centre of town - not a major issue and we knew this in advance, but if requiring regular trips into the old town, be prepared for lots of taxis. - In our bedroom, the shower took about 10 minutes to heat up, and then could fluctuate between hot/cold on some days.
