NOTE: 4WD/AWD with winter tires or chains is required in winter (December through late March).
Our 4,300 sq ft home (Treetop Terrace) features 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms and is a beautiful oasis just 7 minutes from Historic Downtown Durango and 40 minutes to Purgatory Ski Resort. Situated on 8 acres offering privacy and seclusion - yet just minutes from downtown Durango and at an elevation of 7,000 feet, always cooler in the summer than downtown. Enjoy an alpine setting with room to roam and exceptional views, while being close to all of the incredible amenities and recreation you come to Durango to experience. The home backs up to National Forest which offers even more privacy and seclusion. The Dry Fork trailhead is just a further 3 miles up the canyon while Mesa Verde National Park is 30 minutes to the west and Hesperus Ski Area is 10 minutes to the west as well.
The home features amazing outdoor living space including multiple patios/decks with outdoor space heaters, a hammock, comfortable couches and a pond with a water feature, gas fire pit, gas grill, lush landscaping and a fenced yard. The gourmet kitchen is fully stocked and the house features 2 living spaces making it perfect for multiple families. The 2nd living space features a pool table and shuffleboard. A full size washer/dyer, 2 car garage (along with plenty of additional parking in the driveway) and fast Starlink WIFI round out the plentiful amenities.

Was well appointed and had modern kitchen with multiple rooms to hang out in. Would definitely stay there again! Drawbacks was there was no fireplace and sitting room on porch was not heated....otherwise a great spot and we enjoyed it!

Summary: 3 genreations came to spend a little post holiday time. House was great. Well stocked. Only thing missing was sand for the shuffleboard table- no one from the rental group brought any so we went and bought some ourselves. only big hick up. Great views I am sure this place is gorgeous in the summer.

The house has everything you need and, because it is set apart from the main road, is incredibly peaceful. There are so many great spots to sit outside and enjoy beautiful Durango without leaving the property. But when you want to go see the town, it is just a quick drive. You could not find a better way to enjoy Durango, CO!

It is absolutely stunning with views to boot. So many places to sit and relax, that it is difficult to enjoy it all! It is just on the outskirts of town, easy to drive back and forth to town. The only drawback would be the steep switchback road to the house. But the drive up is 100% worth it to this beautiful home. We enjoyed this stay for work and pleasure.

The house was great too. The pictures do not do it justice. The rental was stocked with many essentials, which was appreciated. There were lots of different areas to explore. Various outdoor decks, and other gathering places. That created a sense of variety. I would wholeheartedly recommend this property to anyone.

Came here to escape the Arizona heat with adult kids, had an absolutely amazing time here. If you can't relax in this amazing home then you should probably seek medical attention. Only problem is that I should've stayed longer!
